WILLIAM WORTHLESS
sometimes we forgive hoping to forget
leave the past behind get rid of all regret.
sometimes to forgive is very hard to do
with the memories you have still inside of you.

you must find away to leave it all behind
you must find forgiveness erase it from your mind
open up your heart let yourself forgive
leave the past behind just move on and live.

somewhere it is reflected
perhaps it is your shadow
that bounces off the moon
and comes back to you
as wisdom dredged from the depths
of the unassuaged moments of need
that stretched you from one point
to the next
from one lover
to the next
from one room
to the next
from one dream
to the next

we spend our heartbeats freely
the infinite supply of youth
they become more precious
as the grave slowly deepens
what wisdoms do we stuff in our pockets
as we step into the grave
and move on from this life
to the next

Love me at my darkest
Love me in my sorrow
Love me at my weakest,
When it is your strength I borrow.

Love me when I don't want you,
Love me when I feel hollow
Love me at the end of all hope
When in your grace, I'll follow.

time never stopped,
no matter how hard she tried,
she spent every night crying,
and the time just flew by,
she tried to make it stop,
and got sadder by the minute,
but the world just kept moving,
and time had no limit.
the clocks kept ticking,
and the world kept moving on,
but she was still stuck
at the temporary problems that never seemed to be solved.
time moves on, and so should you

These bullies
Of pragmatic reality
Mean to be the death
of all dreams
For they will not rest
Until they’ve done their best
To destroy that which glitters and gleams

Your shores lie within my clever reach

But still, my raft floats so far away

All the community in the world

Is never enough to patch a broken ship

Whose edges are lined in broken glass

And weeping of a festered wound

All that's left of me will be

A man who floats on indignant water

Held afloat on broken trees

With an off-key voice and wracking cough

Screaming old-fashioned melodies
Even when someone doesn't want to be saved, it's up to us to try and show them a path ahead.  You cannot limit free-will, but you can expand perspective.  R I P to a broken friendship and choices I could never make you see.

A wasted life, from fog of use.
Scars untold, years of abuse,
Bends the mind, from right to wrong.
Life out of tune, no longer a song.
Scars so deep, it covers the heart
no hope shines through, no point to start
to erase the pain, it seems insane
To a life gone wrong,

Through the fog, a point of light
Shone bright,
At first, then to fade, to die
from self pity and pain, from the lie,
Can not forgive the pain of past.
Can not forgive myself, to last.

Through the fog, a hand reached out.
Took my hand, I had my doubt.
Been there, many times before
The hurts and hang ups, seemed to soar.
The voice said, “You are forgiven.”
“It's time to trust, to start livin'.”
The chains fell off, I was free.
To start anew, To trust, to BE.

A wasted life, in years of fog
Now Forgiven.

I have listened to many “life stories”
to know there is always hope.

All prison don't have bars
made of steel to hold us back
They come in many forms
of our making, there is no lack.

Sometimes, your silence is a cold- blooded creature
Unpredictable, uncontrollable, unknowable.
How will I approach this prickly animal?
my hands hover,
unknowing

Other times it is a fireplace,
Warm from a far, but you know not to get too close.
My hands hover.

But today, your silence is a handwarmer,
Small, familiar and soft.
I’ll sit with it in my hand a while until it goes cold.
This is about a friend i have who's silence took me a while to understand, but of course interpret it however you will, use and abuse it, that's what poetry is for after all. Let me know your thoughts :)-
