Built on land stolen from the natives
On the back of blacks who were
stolen from their own land.

Indigenous slaughtered like the buffalo they herded
Rounded up and marched into unwanted corners
There to starve until oil was discovered
And it became time to march them again.

Blacks who were declared to be less than human
Denied the right to do anything but work.
Families that were like grapes in a cluster
Ripe for the picking off of the best ones
And no thought given to those left behind.
Premiums paid for those enceinte,
Harbingers of the two-for-one sale.

Righteous blindness is a national disease
That overlooks the broken teacups
In the mad pursuit of tea.
That cannot see the trampled flowers
In the race to make perfume
That reeks self satisfaction
At the carnage left behind
And waves the flag of liberty
At those the cause enslaved.

Self righteousness has no place in American History.

I'm back in rehab....never give up.
I just want to thank the hp community for all
the love and support...it's sunshine
in my dark night of the soul.

All my Love,

The arithmetic of murky waters
Is not so clear

Neither are my chances of survival

Here is me
Face down in urgent sea

My wave
My grave
My gateway, perhaps

Whatever the consequence
Suffering is the new salvation

It all adds up
Sum how?
Sum way?

And if I was your ship
Destined to flounder
In the wide open drink

You'd re-enter the equation
And find a way to pull me through

Just so we could once more
Make the hurting count

When white lies trickle
into my speech
I hold my tongue
pressed against my teeth

I take a deep breath
and tell the truth
I can’t live this life
any better then you!

I am not my story
the narrator past
obviously his suffering
was never mean to last

no one bullied me
they helped me forged a man
into a lover of life
a healer of the land

I have no regrets
no blame to invest
I’d actually like to thank
the universe for this test

we didn’t come from our parents
we were only passing through
I’d like to thank them both
for the hell that they once knew

I am not a story
trapped within a book
I am a poet
the past is what it took!

Hold my head under a beautiful ocean;
watch me struggle with the glorious view.
Sorrow brings tremendous emotion
with pure devotion I think of you.
Ignite self, ingest opposition,
listen to the sounds as I decay.
Drowning keys, withered strings,
nestled in the spine of each vertebra.
With all my might I take this cup and drink;
I take this flesh and partake in the final feast.
We die from life to finally see the wrong blinded by the light.
Each drop I give in the pool I create must linger forever online,
without this I am nothing.

We all have something singularly unsayable within. Nothing can or will ever get to it, not even other souls. This is the loneliness we were all born with and this is our only salvation.
It is within you and me and you write a wrong in life's pages when you abandon it.
