Alice Lovey
The keys have never lied to me;
They really only sing
Echoed notes to my favor:
Utmost passion, pain, pining.
Four worn walls of floral
Patterns once were vibrant.
Torn and tattered blossoms of
Pastels in alignment.

There is a view of the terrace,
But my song cannot be free.
The sill is chipped and window locked,
Sun’s outline halos, mockery.
My hands don’t shake across my board
Nor tremble ruined red lacquered.
Composing now my newest start
Arranging how I want to feel and
Fill my place with hopeless heart.

Serenade my soul, please,
Even with my mistruck keys.
The shadows grow so long here,
Dear, they always frighten me.
Dark hair turned amber gold,
Iridescent,
So I’m told.
But I’ve only love for which I cannot hold.

I do not play with another,
Lest they feel the need.
No one else can play the same;
My jumbled notes? Your misread.
Regardless of me all,
The dust collects around.
Yet shimmering like diamonds
As they catch the sunlit crown.
But silently they fall away,
Hiding faded footsteps where no one stayed.
And so I no longer wait for them;
Press the pedal yet again.
Find their portraits on the porch—
Mourning sound my keys had then.

I see you’ve gotten the old brass doorknob to finally let you in,
But you’ve disturbed the patterns on the water-damage within.
Come and sit beside me now on this wooden bench
Creaking gently through my chamber with no chance for French
Exit as you’ve entered now.
The warm light
Cascades on my
Ivory.
Touch on me your melody.
It may not ring as it once did,
But I shall share it as we wish.
This started as a non-rhyming poem, but I’m too beginner to feel comfortable without a rhyme scheme. I imagined a French style room almost bare, with an old piano.

Born
Walking on the badlands
secluded darkest part if this planet
My heart melts, as I relay this dreaded tale

She crawls with a dwindling hope
Her worn out feet couldn't carry her any longer
HELP ME, she says
With a fainting voice, low parched and raspy
that's dying from existence.
but the society dares not to blink
From the mare that stares with great fright

She drags her feeble legs
Holding on to chair next to her
While attempting to stand up
Trading her life for mercy
RESPECT ME, she yells
Am I not a human being
for without my womb
Would any if you exist.
A man paused
and paradoxically stared at her
with unquenched thought  of great irate
"what is this thing doing here?"
A glimpse of what women of today go through.

The Dedpoet
I began to think myself
Special in an expanse of odd,
Where nothing can stay
Only whispers in a mist....

Speak your desire,
Touch my soul to begin
Its proper growth and expose me,
I only speak of that which
Ignorant cannot fathom,

And the soul is a yo yo,
Life on a string of theories,
Swaying to the whistle
And play of God's plan.
I fantasize about it would be like to have you makes me wonder if you would be true I ponder what it would be like to kiss your plump lips I fantasize about your skin pressed against mine passion and heat kissing your chocolate skin moaning when you put it in
Is it just infatuation? Or just ****** frustration? Could it turn into love? Or is it just lust? I don't know but I just want you to ******

r
I made you of breath
of shadows and sunbeams
of boundlessness
of folding out and in like wings
of fallings and risings
from the gravity of things
I am your leaves without
limbs or leaving
I am the circles and spirals
your body carves from air
your leaps toward heaven
when you most love the earth
I was before you and will be
after you, I am the center
and the circumference
I am within and without you
And I am your comforter
when the cold winds come in
I am the point on the line
I am brief and desirable
I eat oranges and watch
the Northward flight of geese
my being roars like oceans
I rock myself in the cradle
of self doubt and other emotions
I sometimes let take control
I rock the world like a baby
I kiss the air like my lover
here and here and there
I embrace you, World
I am your second Moon
that rose from the South
I am your eyes, your mouth
your star, your tree
and something else
I am sand, river, feather,
grass, moth, l am forever
yet lost and not found
and I am something else
and I always will be
something to someone else.

CA Guilfoyle
In the evening comes the dim light, the swooping away of day,
the blue, gray clouds, the turbulent air of wild birds
small specs, black and disappearing.
After awhile only quiet,
and then a certain silence settles in
it moves like fog, alongside the moon
it comes cold, blanketing the soul
a depth of space unknown
a well of darkness, undiscovered
the losing of this day, this light
and in the long, lingering hours
dwelling in the dark caved places
touching the soul and flooding the heart
the crashing waves will come
to break one wildly apart.
