If I find the right words
after digging deep down,
exhuming them
from my deepest darkest corner,

Will the splinters and blisters
caused by my *****
bring some light
and make my life
any warmer?

If I find the right words
and the strength
to finally set them free,

Will there be an empty space left behind
where they once hid and resided,
or will you replace them
with reciprocal loving words
meant just for me?

And darkness gave way for light to come in as the light invaded all depths
Narrow and wide
Vast and shallow
And the light eluded misery and sorrow
And tragedy was defeated
And the light began a mysterious sojourn
From the west ends to the northern eastern poles
And the light shone through the deepest fronts
And the light began glowing
And the light illuminated the rhythms of darkness and that too gave way
And the light sojourned still
Journeying through time's hand
Traveling through thin and thick
Meandering, bending
Cascading,
Shining
And nothing was left unseen
And nothing was left untouched
And every other thing began unraveling
And the light won a glorious war

her one and only claim to fame*
was not a reputable asset
indeed it bought upon her shame

around the ears we weren't wet
accounts galore she'd create
was not a reputable asset

she e'en had some on a sleeper plate
the guises used didn't fool a bit
accounts galore she'd create

why the need for many an outfit?
multiple costumes being worn
the guises didn't fool a bit

ever other identities were born
writing under trillions of naming tags
multiple costumes being worn

but viewers were wise to her wags
writing under a trillion naming tags
her one and only claim to fame
*indeed it bought upon her shame
Souls entwined
Hearts connected

Minds in tune
Destined fate collected.*

time...

the bones were interred on a mid July date
in which the triumphant did victoriously celebrate
these persons of them always would aggravate
twas memorable with the happiness in elate

reference...

this point of reference came as no surprise
for every protagonist did so much despise
they who had a spectacular pinnacle rise
were buried by those who saw little compromise

stone...

upon the stone etched in a carving profound
lies the remains of men needlessly put to ground
a perpetual monument of jealousy being around
on the conscience of they doing the deed will resound

i searched for depth in the shallow end
of the pool, in a place where depth did not
exist, and yet i somehow managed to drown.
this is an excerpt from a spoken word poem i wrote a few days ago. send feedback if you'd please !

Oh, what I would give to kiss you one last time
Your lips were as divine as wine.
A strawberry shortcake
Soft and sweet
Dripping and delicious
You were always such a treat.
I don't eat meat, but if I did,
My teeth would be dug deep in your skin.
I really don't know what you think about me
I just miss you, my strawberry.
needed a more light and airy write to aid my crippling sadness
If the stars
Do not come out
At night,
Does it mean
That they are
No longer there?

If the sun
Cannot shine
Through the
Dark grey clouds,
Does it mean
That it vanished
Into thin air?

If the moon
Does not grace us
With its silvery light shadow,
On any given night,
Does it mean
That it will never
Be seen again?

If our hearts
Shatter and break,
If we go numb inside,
Does it mean
That we will never
Feel whole again?

These are questions
That no one can answer;
Only God knows
If and when,

All we can say is
"God willing!"
And If God wills it,
We will know,
Only then.

Pause ...
And acknowledge your triumphs,
A little bit more,

Realise
That you are stronger,
Than you once were before.

Take timeout
To free your chaotic mind,

Rearrange your priorities,
Things of importance
You will find.

Do things
That make you feel
Real joy and happiness,
A little bit more,

The things
You used to make time for,
Once upon a long time ago--before.

Praise yourself
For the effort you put-in,
In all that you partake,

And forgive yourself,
Along the way, for any misjudgements,
That you may happen to make.

Walk with nature,
Or walk through shallow waters
Of a beautiful sandy beach,

Walk through an evergreen forest,
Or a local park, within reach.

Read a book,
Watch a movie,
Or take a swim,

Do something you love,
Do anything!

Just do it
A little bit more!

Your soul will thank you -
Of this, I'm absolutely,
Positively sure!

Nobody is born
With a strong heart,
A broad mind,
And a giving soul -
These attributes
Come from exercising your spirit,
And reaching within.
