A strip of barren land
Stark, forbidding
But I sat there and watched a flower grow
Bringing a bright splash of colour
To this dead land
Bringing a bright splash of hope
To a world sinking into the darkness
i wish
i were as brave as the rain
because
they are not afraid to
fall

when there is no one there to catch them...

they are the strongest, bravest and
saddest things I've known :(

PS:
-the thought "the rain are not afraid to fall" were not from me . :)
isn't it odd
how we can know
human nature
well enough
to write poems
that move others
to tears
yet must hear
the words of others
to cry
alone
.
Peter, Paul and Mary - "No Other Name" www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GdB3oWRS04
There are 10 kinds of people in this world,
and binary accounts for them all.

They're happy and sad.
They're ones and zeros.
Villains and heroes.
Villains, yet not all bad.
Despite everything life decides to hurl;
Despite every brick ball of fear
Through the stained glass windows of their minds,
Through it all, they survive.
They're angry and glad.
They're happy and sad.

And in their duality, they're still smiling there
at your sharp hasty words
at your venomous hurt
that you wish so desperately they, too, shared.
Love thy enemy.

Special thanks to Kelley A Vinal for the binary inspiration. You can read her poetry here: http://hellopoetry.com/kelley-a-vinal/

It's pretty solid.

Edit: Holy Daily, Batman! Wow, I'm so honored. Glad you all like it so much! :D
Like Pablo Picasso's
artistically rendered paintings
& Mozart's ultimate
piano concerto perfection
   you utterly moved me,
as Monet's
impressionistic wildflowers
our love grew,
flourishing amidst
poetry's cultivated gardens

*'Til you fashioned
yourself subsequent to
Van Gogh's insanity,
leaving me beside myself
now, I want to cut off
        more than your ear
Just having a fun little scribble :)
