the beat changes in your presence
skips to a slightly altered cadence
more blood, more power
the awakening of my heart
the eyes more perceptive
the brain aglow
the scent of you kisses the marrow
and ignites every nerve
these moments
I breathe you
absorb you
quiver in your touch

such is the rhythm
of love

You
If you could see yourself
For just one second
Through my eyes
You would love
Yourself for
Eternity
Son
Son, if you ever get a girl pregnant in high school
You better stay with her
You better financially support the life you concepted
Because you made the decision
To do the act
Its your choice to counteract your mistake
By being the man that doesn't flake
Trust me, that poor girl will be going through a world of hell to take care of that child
Son, if you ever get a girl pregnant
I want you to learn and have your head held up high and be ad loyal as you can be
I didn't raise a quitter
I raised a man that will be the difference to a young woman, even during the most hectic times.
I will be upset, but I will take the child as my own
Make sure you fight for her when people judge her falsely
Because were all human and we make mistakes
But this new life could be the imperative change for this planet
I want your goals to come alive as you plan it
Hold onto her
Hold onto your dreams
Hold onto hers.
I don't really know if I'll ever have kids but if I ever had a son and he made a girl pregnant, this is what I'd say. (I hope he wouldn't make such a tremendous mistake due to all the sheet responsibility) But not every high school pregnancy is bad.

Star Gazer
I want to say I love you but
I don't know where the line cuts
Between liking you
And loving you
Between beating red blood
Or beating blue,
I'm confused
Over what's the correct hue
Because when I say I love you,
What does that mean to you?

Does I love you
Mean I'll end up wifing you
Or we'll make one from two.
Does I love you
Means if you speak your words
Like 'wash the dishes' they'll be heard
Or is it more of a proverb,
'Like you can lead a horse to the lake
But you can't make him drink the water'.

I think my I love you
Is a complete different view,
It's a taste
Of sweet sugar on a rainy day,
The taste
Of cake eaten yesterday,
It's sweet.
It's more than sweet though,
It's a sight,
It's an array of lights to form a show
Like how I'll show you my life lighting up
When you repeat those same I love you's.
My I love you's
Is a sound
Not the rattling of chains
To keep two souls bound
But the sounds of bells
That gets dented and dinged by cupids arrows.
My I love you's
Is the smell of fresh roses
That tickles the noses
And shows how I'll keep you closest.
My I love you's
Are more than that,
Because even I don't know my I love you's
Because it's a sentence
I haven't put meaning to,
Not until I finally met you.

Why this world is awesome
Why the creatures are here
Why we are blessed
Is all to the miracle
The wonder, the glory of God
His glory shines down
All around us to help us
Remember just great God
Really is
His glory is more than any
One here on earth knows
It's more than the thunder
The way the world revolves
Every day on it's way
To bring us a new day
It's all because we can
Believe in the glory of
Mercy, the power and
The wonder of God

grim-raven
I am floating on the sea
With 3 petals that I picked

“He loves me, he loves me not, he loves me”

Those petals made me sick
They lied and now I see
I am the last petal that I picked

nivek
if I said I like the pheromones emanating from your lips
its me trying to be geeky poet
after a geeky kiss
I am a borrower
collecting things that shine
all stashed in cracks and hidey-holes
where the rafters meet the roof
in the basement floorboards
lift one and you'll see
the treasures I've collected
two gorgeous glassy eyes
seven gilded antique buttons
a bouquet of sweetly fragrant lilies
a gleaming jar of pixie dust
three noble barristers
an Irishman netting butterfly dreams
a sorceress of the endless prairie
windmills like soldiers all in a line
the saddest porcelain doll
a small brown bear
trains screaming by on underground rails
a sprinkling of desert blooms
six jack-in-the-boxes so I'm always surprised
the hairless stuffed dog that bit me as a child
a Rickenbacker bass softly riffing the blues
a farmer's Ovation to accompany my woes
seashells that sing the ocean breeze
a merman from the Northern seas
tucked away in every space
packed within each sweet hollow
these simple pleasures I have borrowed
