Words dripping
From empty lips
Trickling down
Into the abyss
Droning on
Becoming faint
Swirling around
Down the drain
Voices making
Waterfalls
No one listens
Everyone talks

I'm still your greatest fan
Of that I have no doubt
But my respect for you was lost
As soon as you walked out

I am now the parent
And you my hopeless child
I once had hours to give to you
Now seconds aren't worthwhile

Where has my best friend gone
Who is this empty shell
The hero that you were to me
Gone without farewell
Cloudy
Your inky spine tangled
Wrapped like a spider web
Around my restless limbs.

I kiss dew from
The muddle we've made.
You taste softer than I imagined.

The sun shone longer
On this day.
The summer solstice.

An orange dream following me
Up the stairs and through
Closed creaky doors.

Hanging by a thread
The daze of morning
Catches me.

I nibble on your
Thumbs, quickly
Turning from starlight to dusk.

I stumble home
By a map of milking
Morning stars.

Your hazel eyes glowing
Like a constellation between
Sleep filled lids.
For you.
I need someone to tell me
everything will be alright

Deep inside a sea
where he rolled on rocks
in the softest heart
of the mother earth

Dark is the silence
before he sees the truth
with voice of angels' own

Sweetest of voices speak
There he finds himself
dancing with them
his first baby smiles
and the world smiles with him
I saw a toddler smiling and it was beautiful, it felt like the truth
