you kissed my scars and told me i was
                       beautiful.
tell me now, how i can forget about
                    someone
                                 like
                                       you
I'm scarred
By the childhood I never had
By the love and care I never got
By the love that was unrequited
By the hurt I felt
By the pain in my heart
By the emptiness in my soul
By the lack of happiness
And abundance of sadness
By the blade in my hand
By you.
Baby, I must have found you on Pinterest because you’re the best idea I’ve ever had
And if I could remember to tweet every cute thing you do, I would, believe me-
You have the face everybody wishes they had the privilege to post on Instagram
And yeah, I really like you
You’re my favorite
I swear
Please never be afraid to direct message me
Because, I don’t care if I can only see your face for 10 seconds-
Your Snapchats would make me want to change my relationship status any day

I am colorblind
Without you, dear.
I lost red,
When you stole my heart,
A little bit of blue
With every tear that fell for you,
Green when I
Looked into your eyes for the last time.
I lost yellow when I lost you,
Cause you shone like the sun,
Purple went too,
With the last time you kissed my neck.
Pink disappeared when you did,
You took your favorite color with you.
I am colorblind
Without you, dear.
Now all that's left
Is the grays of stormy skies ahead.

I am a collection of scars.
Each tells a story.
Some from a childhood of laughter and a carefree attitude,
others from lonely nights in the shadows with anxiety riddled thoughts pressing down on me;
as I pressed down on the blade.
Excerpt from a short story I am writing.
