I wish you were by my side
kissing me good night
I wish we were holding hands
as we dance
as we walk
as we sleep
as we talk
I wish you were here with me
so I could lay down on your shoulder
and whisper gently in your ear
I love you most and disappear

Oh how I wish you were here

I love meeting with my childhood friends
because in their eyes I could see
the reflection of the child I once was
I could find the little spark I once had
And I lost it through the stormy times

And childhood friends, they are the best dream keepers

When I meet with them I see the dreams I then had
And I feel so happy to have entrusted them with this task
Because child’s dreams should never be lost

And we adults, we are constantly losing dreams
together with our keys, our phones,
our passwords and our identity

I love meeting with my childhood friends
They bring me back on my feet with just a smile
It seems as though they know
some secret passage to my happy face

And it’s not easy to have this task
Because we constantly change
Every year, every month, every week,
Every day, every hour, every minute
Every second and every moment
But childhood friends, they know best
how to keep your dreams safe
They know when to give your spark back

Dreams can change, they evolve, but the spark
for letting your dreams lead your life
She is safe in your friends eyes
And the moment you need her she just appears
Right there across the table while drinking a coffee

And the spark is all you need to follow a dream
Because dreams, they should never be lost

When my father’s hands touch me
I could feel the spirits of the past
When my father’s hands embrace me
It feels like the whole world is hugging me back

My father’s hands are not soft
There you could find every drop of sweat
Because he earned his bread
By working and not lying

My father’s hands  are not sinful
They hide the rightfulness
of everything he has done until now

My father’s hands have taught me
to love the freedom
My father’s hands have shown me
how to find the northern star
and that every way I took
could bring me back home

My father’s hands have taught me
To respect people by their efforts not their wealth
My father’s hands have taught me
To be honest and sincere

My father’s hands have taught me
To love the mornings
Because the day doesn’t start at noon
My father’s hands have taught me
To love the evening
Because every warrior needs his rest

My father’s hands gave me
My first allowance
My father’s hands gave me
My first lesson of life

My father’s hands were there
When I have made the first step
My father’s hands were
There when I first fall down
and every other time after that

And when I feel scared
I always look for my father’s hands
Because in my father’s hands
It’s the safest place to be

This is not a love letter
How could it be?
When I am in love
How could it be?

This is not a love letter
As I have hoped to be
The words of love
I have hoped you’d see

This is not a love letter
There is nothing else to say
Than to let you go
To let you fly away

This is not a love letter
How could it be?
When you are in love
And the loved one isn’t me

When you look at her what do you see?
When you see her cry what do you think?
When you hear her voice how do you feel?
When you touch her softly what can you tell?
Does it feel like heaven or thunders from hell?

When she looks at you what does she see?
When she touches you how does she feel?
When she hears you smile what does she think?
When she kisses you what does she taste?
Will she cherish the moment or want to erase?

When you think of her how do you feel?

My dearest love, my one and only
Have you seen my lost soul lonely
Have you heard her silent cry
When she left with no goodbye

My faithful friend, my strongest rock
Have you heard my lost soul’s knock
Has she come to you somehow
Tell me please, tell me now

Unknown stranger from far away
Please do tell me, please do say
Have you seen my lonesome soul
She might have left or has been stolen

My long-lost soul, my deepest fear
I hope to find you somewhere near
Hope to bring you back home soon
Before next rising of the moon

My dearest soul please be brave
I’ll find you soon and keep you safe
