She used her hands to map me til she saw the screen behold her

dreams. In those perfect moments, I looked, gazed,

fervently glared into the distance from a point that was too far for

her to see. She mapped me til I remembered the first signs of a

storm, how the winds felt. Then, a swift retreat. The winds died,

my skin dried, my ***** raised for rain.
I am a thin sheet
Of ice, I will crack through and
You will fall with me.

But I'm scared to swim
I might choke on a wave of
Fear and loneliness.

I scare you won't dive
In this water after me,
And I'll drown alone.

I need to feel heat
That radiates from your bones,
Heating my dry skin that seems
To flake away with everything
I cared about.

Just tie the anchor
Around my jelly like legs
Let me sink below.

I won't be the man
In fairytales or your dreams
I will be fiction.

Hopefully I can
Give more love to the ocean
And be lost treasure

I begged to go
And for a moment
I thought the truck wouldn't show

Down the hill,
The truck did come
I told you
I'd be back from where I'm from

Paper from tree
Aluminum sealed the seams
Write what you see
And the things you dream

And write one for me

Or maybe seven

Life split in half
I almost want to laugh
Psychotically.
Life dominated by purple
I could never see through
Now filled with green and blue
And I'm always too late for you
I had to make sure it was green
"Be sure to write one for me"
Before I lost the nerve to be free
But my stomach felt weird
And I knew I sounded dumb
'Cause someone like you
Wouldn't find anything to write about me
