Perfection

She put on her lipstick,
combed her long blonde hair
and looked in the mirror,
from a look evolved a stare,
searching for something amiss
an eyelash, a hair.
Anything out of place
that ugliness could declare,
and what looked back,
was all her tear stained blue eyes could see
Extinct perfection,
a precious face drenched in misery.

**Contempt**

Searching and searching,
Through somber black eyes,
Perpending, should I cut all ties?
A woman pursuing another's man,
The very type I can't stand.
Even though it leaves an acrid taste in my mouth,
My body craves a kiss, to touch, and ****, no doubt.
To ****** with fire,
That burning flame,
Sweet rotten romance,
Drenched in shame.

Exposed
Do you love me?

It's been less than a year
Since I met you here.
I didn’t know you well
But well enough to know
That I loved you.

Yes, you’ve broken my heart
But I want to give you another chance
To fix it.
I still have those old stitches
But when you pull them away
It will be a new slate
Fresh with no pain.

Love me back or not
At least I know I fought.
I fought a war to gain your love
And though I may have lost
It was at no cost.

Only a few more stitches
Hi Guys! My first poem because I felt in the mood to write. I don't know much about poetry but I put this out there anyways. Any and all feedback is welcome!

My thoughts are like a conversation -
a dialogue between two worlds trying to
understand one another.

I'm a little crazy.

"And who are we to judge the broken?" She screams.
Tearing at her skin, laced with seams
she sowed to show she could heal.
"We don't help them: we condemn,
because we can't understand we hold the key to a
lock thrown downstream:
An effort abandoned when the price
peaked at an inconvenience to our dreams."
She sinks to the floor, unable to hold herself
because for too long no one held her.
Her patchwork arms
reveal the scars; as she kept count
of the let-downs and put-downs.
"But I can't save anyone."
She falls to the floor, met by arms that catch her
just as she breaks
and succumbs to the aches
that keep her awake at night -
shaking
as she reaches
for something sharp
once more.
Be there for someone - though it's inconvenient

The Noose
Undiluted

The Noose
In the company of undiluted sadness
She vomits verses upon verses
Swathes emotion
In amassed bundles of metaphor
Chokes on truth
Squeezes out the blood
For the sake of creation
And
Perhaps a cure
For the feeling

Silent screaming
Traversing the precarious
Corridors of her mind
The ricochet of sound
Awakening the repressed
Opening the floodgates of
The repugnant murk
The face of her darkness
She knows not its name
Or how it found her.

They think Im lazy,
They say Im boring,
They think Im tired,
but the truth is that I have no places to go.
My only escape is sleep or a movie.
For awhile I can forget everything and be someone else.

Winter Madness

And the snow started falling,
until I decided to have fun with it
I started laughing
I started crying
I started the unbecoming;
Of myself, to everyone

Tears began to fall-
just like the snow
An angel showed up
The solace I needed the most
Serendipity at its best

Angels

you may never know
but every night you sing me to sleep
i want to meet you so bad
everyday i take a peek
into your life's peak
i see how successful you are
and you deserve it
every melody is equal to a heartbeat
and whenever i am crying,
you are there to keep me listening
the sound of your voice is why i live,
you saved me from the darkness
the sound of your voice is why i love,
you saved me from the madness
i love you, my sweet songbird
you keep me whole with every word
you are my one beautiful soul
but i guess you will never know
i love my little choir of angels
