 Sep 2019 A Simillacrum
laura

why do you tease me so
querulous and catty and quirky
the many faces you have
delights so svelte, online media
you write almost tangible
and your beautiful braid-dangles

stupid thoughts, bad cup
pollen from the dandelions
breeze by, heron umbrella
of Autumn's shadow--
the ghosts of never again haunt here
despite you sweetening
the edible tangles
dear my beloved,

i'm writing to you now to say goodbye.
the pain has gotten too much and i wish to run away,
again.
for if we come across each other in the future naturally,
i ask you to hug me and hold me close.
lord knows i need it.

perhaps you can't find me,
i'll be in paris.
every afternoon, i'll drink wine on my balcony.
i'll look for you at the stars and if you wish to not look for me,
remember me for the least.

my love, this has all come to an end
but i really do pray that you wish to find me.

goodbye for now, my love.

from your forever love:

Do you pity or envy a world
That has cut off its calluses
Do you love or fear a world
So gentle against the wind
That a ***** would bleed
That a pinch would twinge

I pity and fear it,

Thus:

Here I am, hiding
In a boat of poetry
In the strait of obscurity
Between two oceans of fear

Between
The old world of joyous suffering
And
The new world of unbearable peace

Trying to marry the water of lively green
And the deadly blue

As I tie the old waves to the new
I set aflight an echo through the wind-
In the shape of a dove, a clarion call:

"Don't renounce your past
But accept it with pride,
Lest you be judged for what you have done,
And never
What you could, would, and will do!"
Sentient Dreams: My Poetry Anthology:

This is the manuscript to my amazon vanity press poetry anthology: "Sentient Dreams" that I have now decided to just share it here digitally. All of the poems have been published here on HP at certain points of time anyway.

Almost all of the poems are from October 2017-July 2019.
Please feel free to share! :)

I don't think I will be adding to this specific anthology in the future. (Except three more poems that will be updated later.)

I finished
a bottle and then
opened another
and then
had a glass and then

poured the rest out
and called
a friend, who didn't
care, then another
bottle,  I can't

bring myself to cry but
on the inside violently

I don't feel anybody's
skin beside me

Can you smell her ***
As I shake your hand
I didn’t have time to wash
Her off my skin
Can you smell her ***
When you lean in
I seen you
Sniff your hand again
Sorry but I got to go
Her smell is in my nose
And I love her smell
As a Poet
I always kiss
  Then tell...

where is the puzzle to ponder
no drama needs orchestration in play
for the truth is out there for minds that seeks
what is genuine is easy to display in a simple reach
it take six for a casket, it takes only two to shake hands
why drag the just into the play of children for hide and seek
I can eat unleavened bread just as much as sing enliven sonatas
magicians can pull the rabbits out all day it don't impress me much

We lusted after opulence
and immortality
while the ravens hungered
for September to douse their dwellings
in amber and burnt sienna.

You
What you say
Makes me mute
you leave me hanging
on the ecstasy of uncertainty
My head was over the clouds
And now you shot me to the moon
Me?
