Sakshi Balla Oct 13
You are the shadow that I seek in the brightest of days
Always showing up with your arms wide open, finding your ways
Though the rays might consume, be harsh and vile
I seek you in the crowd hoping I'll find you in a while
And I do, I always do
I find you and steal you,
from among the crowd
Drag you down the road and take you to your seas,
Sink with you deep.

You are my morning star
My trinket of love
Part annoying, part begrudging
My silly bean,
How would the sea ever be without the shore
Each day I seek for you more
Each day I love you more

a windy storm
Sakshi Balla Jul 28
There was something about you,
a subtle breeze,
a flickering wind
Something to sweep me away,
with the windy sails
from your restless seas
and unwavering pleas
A calm in my chaos
Also a havoc in my peace
We keep running in circles
Circles that we won't appease
A destruction, a devotion
Affection that won't cease
Maybe you are the storm
and then the pacifier for the peace
You are exactly why they named storms after people
A wreak indeed.

All through seasons
Sakshi Balla May 5
In the scorching summers
When you need the shadows
I'll be the breeze
And when the warmth feels like it would swallow you through grounds
I'll be the splash of cold stream running through the greens

And in rains, when you need to hide
I'll pull you in
We'll drench in drizzles
Laugh through the sizzles
And whine and spin

Be it the colds or pours
When it gets freezing
And when life seems a bit deceiving
I'll be the snuggle
To keep you from heaving

All through seasons
I’ll keep you close
To make you my reason
All through seasons
All through seasons

Insatiable
Sakshi Balla Mar 27
I love you in verses
in the poetic curses
Ones that are scribbled for you
Ones that are screaming for you
It's a cadence of the melody
won't you hear the beats
I love you in rhythms
In the poetic schisms
In hungers, in thirsts
In devotions, in possessions
I love you insatiable
I love you unexplainable

cursed corpse
Sakshi Balla Dec 2023
A corpse maybe
You being here
Sometimes not
When I call out,
your name echoes.
When you reach out,
my voices take heed.
You are dead sometimes
You are there sometimes
But a corpse most times.

Oh no,

No wait!!
In my nightmare.

knock knock love was here
Sakshi Balla Sep 2023
Love knocked on my door
like a rainy day, under the leaky roof
Love knocked again
like a sultry dawn, over the shadows of the roof
Love kept knocking until the winds were frost
Love sailed through seas
and battled the waves
Love said hello on the darkest nights
Love said goodbye on the brightest nights
Like a ship in the storm cradled by the sea
Love was lost until it was found
Love was lost until it was drowned
Love why won't you ever come in?

oh boy
Sakshi Balla Sep 2023
Love sounds like music to me
Music sounds a little like her voice
And a bit like her breath
Over the way she would call my name
Slow soft tones, I think I love my name
It's a ******* music to my ears
Her love is the ******* music I can't stop listening to
Until it wears me out of my trance
And I find the home, the sense of belonging in her music
I find everything I ever wished for in this music

When a muse
Turns me into a muse
Pours poetry into the hollows of spaces
Between the  words unsaid
When my muse
Calls me a muse
Here with the ink dripping neath the eyes
True to said word, turned me into a poem
Not one, not once
Many a times
Dear loving muses
Pen down the words
I am collecting pages
Now where do I store these pieces?

dead rose for two

thorny blood sting for two
dead petal black end for one
red petal dark fades for two
dead rose for one
dead rose for two

When I build a home
Sakshi Balla Mar 2023
I wont close the windows
For I would let us breathe
When I build a home
I will let the curtains be dark
We’ll play a game where we’ll let the light in and trace back the dark
When I build a home
I would leave my room unlocked
Oh and there will be mirrors reflecting us pure
I will grow lilies in the backyard,
Cause roses would *****
I will have ceilings so high
Only we could ever reach
On Sunday mornings my home would wake up late
On Monday nights my home would slumber right at dark
On the porch in the evenings I will play music so soft
It will soothe me and my home
And will let me stare at the stars.

Sometimes I sketch
Sakshi Balla Jan 2023
I think I just broke the pencil lead
I only tried to draw
Now I'm sharpening the lead
When I realise it's charcoal
Too fragile to break
And oh
I just broke it again
And again
Yet again
This time I bring a blade
I traced out the point
I make it sharp again
Heck, I ran it over my skin
Now I bleed, so much blood spilling
Atleast I sharpned the pencil
Now I can draw again
Broken hands give art their best
It will be your waking time
And I'll sketch for you again
I'll make those webs again
I'll tell you where you belong in the picture
I'll sketch you out of a scribble
I'll scribble you into oblivion to tear the page
Broken pieces of charcoal will ***** my hands and ruin the book
Atleast then I'll wash my hands and clean up the dirt

Another
Sakshi Balla Jan 2023
In another life
I barely wait
I dance in the backyard
and your electric plays
the sounds of the present weave through me
I hang onto the branch while the leaves sway
In another life
I am not a poet
I am a kid chasing the waves
In another life
I am singing along
I am collecting bricks
building a house and fencing you in
In another life
I bring home a rose
the thorns don't *****
the leaves don't wilt
In another life
In another life

Quasar
Sakshi Balla Jun 2022
and said it was  bad luck
to not have a name
I laugh cause its just a guitar
and named Quasar
yet I could strum the emotion to the beat
and it works
it always will
until it has a rythm you spilled
even my guitar misses your songs

The Night
Sakshi Balla Dec 2021
Dark it seems but I see the blackout
Cold it seems but I sense the winds
Broken it seems but I sense the calm
Lonely it seems.
The Night it seems.

vain
Sakshi Balla Nov 2021
It wouldn't matter now, would it?
Anything, anyone
Empty heart with a cluttered brain
Deadlier than the history
Livelier than the memory
I wish and wish if only I could hope
The float of the bubble , nowhere to go
Stuck in a limbo
In the casket , about to dig the grave
Empty, so empty i am, this is vain.

Breathe
Sakshi Balla Sep 2021
And then you try to breathe
If there's some air left around
Let it be consumed by me
For I am sinking and just a bit of me is left to live
I cry, and breathe, and then wipe my tears
Cause I can do nothing about it
I have to live with this

Waters. Testing.
Sakshi Balla Apr 2021
Testing the waters
Dipping and swishing
Drying out the fears
Soaking it all in
Swimming, sometimes
Then waves hitting
Closing me in a box
Full of angst
And reminder
Of what I am looking for

Trash bin
Sakshi Balla Sep 2020
Trash bin-
I threw them away
My treasure
My passion
My love...
Fantasies of emotions
Illusions of the reality
I abandoned them all
It felt so good and it hurt me so good
With my love written on them
Ripped them from their soul
Crumpled their hearts
And threw them away in the trash bin with fragility apart

Illusion
Sakshi Balla Mar 2020
Should I have been more careful with my mind that drifted towards the illusion you created
Only then I would've known you and I were meant to be deserted
The waste of my time sure you were
Your presumptuous self wanted me around only when your mind reminded you of the flare.

Fireworks
Sakshi Balla Mar 2020
Sitting here with nothing on my mind
Lightning struck through me and there I was
It was absolutely nothing on my mind!
Should've been the one bursting these crackers.
Then it struck me like it always does.
Solacing through the darkness
Pushing everyone off
Laughing in tears with a heart full of ache
Fireworks filling in the core
Bursting in the joy of splintering
I know what it is
I sure as hell know what it will be
Just let me cry.
Just let me mourn me.
It is me right here with a soul so dead searching for a tomb.
Yet I'm alive
Yet I'm alive.

Sugarcoat
Sakshi Balla Mar 2020
Caught up in the sweet talk
Sugar and lemons
Coated with walls
Beneath was a clamber
Tussle of heart and the mind
Could say it out loud
But save it in the void
Honeyed and spiced.
Would it be mellisonant enough to be poised?
