We're blowing leaves,
Vacuuming leaves,
Mowing leaves.
Using technology,
Plugged in or internal,
To clean up the hood.
Then we bag 'em in plastic
For composting,
To be enviro-friendly.
Raking optional.

blue flash..
blue sun bolts of the sky..
the lightning feels me cry..

teardrops fall..
from storms of my emotions..
lightning fills this sky like an electric ocean..

lightning has made me forget the stars..
dancing and chasing..
endless blue blazing..
For the moment I forgot about the stars.

You must begin early
while it is cool and your head clear
discernment, a sharpened tine
probing the rocky darkness
for all things latent and destructive.

Be aware that the velvet sage
of the leaves belies their power
to take over every space, remember
roots burrow deep, anchoring in
fissures we don’t even know exist.

You must delve as close
to the origin as possible
or the **** you think eradicated
will bide its time, germinating
in the still secret ground

waiting for light
to penetrate the moist earth
waking the sprout
who voraciously pushes up and out
a curled blemish

in your otherwise carefully tended garden.

I awoke to a strange feeling in my chest that tore me apart
Feeling like someone else, no longer me
Somewhere along the way I lost my heart
Don't know where it is or with whom it may be
Not even sure it was ever mine from the start
If I ever stumble upon it maybe I'll see
How love is such a delicate art
If I find you
I will love you
Forever and true

Tell me you love me
It's all that which I desire
It's all that I need
