I love him
I tell myself
I know that
We will be together forever
I don’t believe that
We could be separated
My thoughts tell me that
He’s the love of my life
Sometimes my heart lies and says
I could live an eternity
Without him
Like my friends say
“We’re perfect for each other”
And you can’t tell me
He’s not the one.

Now read from bottom to top.

I'm bleeding.
There is no way to stop it
I've done this to myself
I cant break this habit.
It's not physical,
but the pain is real
These next moments are pivotal
I don't want to feel.
The river slows to a creek
and then a stream.
But it never stops flowing,
it fills my dreams.
I'm never safe
from myself it seems.
I'm bleeding.
I've never really been interested in writing poems that rhyme, it just always felt forced to me. But with this poem it came out so easily, and it seems to add to the message, as oppose to distracting from it.
If you enjoy my poetry please check out page, I try to post a couple poems a week if I can.

If I were to dissipate
would everything
correct itself
or
would the minuscule
snow globe,
I have engulfed myself into,
collapse under the sudden removal
of an insignificant
figurine.
I need to reassure myself sometimes that without fear I wouldn’t be human. Without hatred I wouldn’t be normal.
What would become of me if the emotion that many felt towards others had inescapably refracted towards myself- and I had no power to overcome it?

I wish I could tell certain people
That they cause me great pain
But if I did I fear they would leave me
Because they don’t want to hurt me
Which makes me love them
Causing me great pain

I wonder what secret
The trees whisper to the breeze?
Do the birds hear that secret
And announce it in their song?

Does the wind hold it
And drop it in the seas?
Does the sea speak it out
And share it with the stars?

Do the heavens then resound
With the secret of the trees?

And the clouds,
Oh yes! Those clouds
Blue, black and grey
Is that why come rushing?

Across the seas to caress
With gentle rain the trees
And whisper,
"Heaven knows your heart,
There are no secrets from God."

The trees smile and sway
Fulfilled and complete in love.
