SUNSET HUE
Awnaeji Feb 18
Magnificent ray, beyond wonders
Bewildered in your awe
Hope in your orange hue

Though days are hard
It may feel empty and sad
Lost in a parable of life

Sunset you are the most beautiful sight
Painted my sky with your golden ray
You give color before my darkness
A hope of dawn for a new day

Soulmate love
Awnaeji Feb 17
No need for words, the heart can see,
A mirrored depth, where spirits be.
A knowing glance, a silent hum,
Two souls entwined, as one they've come.

Where in this world, of fleeting things,
Soulmate love, forever sings.
A pure connection, thru thick and thin
My platonic soulmate , were not meant to be.
This poem explores a deep, wordless connection between two souls a bond that transcends time and circumstance. It celebrates a pure, enduring platonic love, even when romantic paths don’t align.

A private space where my emotions sleep
I say your name in silent, gentle ways
And build a world of remembered days.
This poem is a quiet, private love held deep within an inner world of tender emotions and cherished memories spoken softly in silence.

Paradox
Awnaeji Mar 27
I told my soul to rest to let your absence be
But why this constant falling make this soul's insanity
Each glimpse, a bitter nectar a joy that cuts like pain
How do I unweave this feeling?

This feeling of consuming chain
I've waited through the silence
Where dreams have turned to gray
Now I'm steeped in blue, where longing holds its sway.
I want to burry this kind of feeling and just move on. But how? How can I unloved someone I have loved for so long?

My Platonic Soulmate
Awnaeji Feb 17
To my platonic soulmate,
We were not meant to be romantic.
We were just meant to be.

Although the love we have each other
is undeniable and although the love
we have each other exists,

It was not meant to stretch beyond
the pure unions of friendship.
It was not meant to stretch at our heartstrings
but instead it was meant to gently massage them into peace.
It was not meant to stretch your leg over my shoulder
at three o'clock in the morning
after a night filled with laughter and conversation.

It was not meant to stretch past the boundaries we subconsciously
set to ensure that things don't get complicated.
It was not meant to stretch our connection into emotional destinations that have no return tickets if we took that plunge.

Romance is not the only reason the universe brings souls together.
Growth and love can exist without it.
Perhaps we were not meant to be romantic
Perhaps we were only meant to be.

Known Feeling
Awnaeji Mar 10
I knew this feeling clear and deep
The way the world takes on a hue
Of vibrant light a softened grace
A smile reflected in your face.

This quiet bond a secret kept
Where others fail and others slept
We'll find our love in silent grace
Defined by us in time and space.
“Known Feeling” expresses a quiet, deep love that brightens the world and creates a unique bond shared only by two hearts, defined by its own gentle grace.

Like stars they burn and burn away
Leave me in cold empty day
This path I chose feels like a winding snare
Has led me only to despair.

Heartbreak
Awnaeji Feb 22
Heartbreak isn't just about
shattering of love
It's the quiet collapse of the
world you built around someone
It's the mornings that feel to heavy
the nights that stretch too long
and the spaces between your ribs were
their absence now lingers
You don't just lose a person
You lose the version of yourself that existed with them
and though the pain feels endless like an echo that
refuses to fade there's a strange kind of beauty
In the way it reshapes you
Because even in breaking
You're becoming and one day you'll realize you're stronger
for surviving that ache.

Awnaeji Mar 22
I chased the butterflies your actions spun
Only to learn they were a phase undone
My subtle words a love I longed to share
Met with a silence a feeling beyond repair

A single word and I'd have crossed the waves
And build a world that I long to dream
But deeper knowing brings a deeper fall
Your crave for silence to escape it all

I wished you knew this hope so frail and slight
Longed for your words to make it truly bright
To bury moments and release your hold
And if I asked, what story would be told?
A tender reflection on unspoken love and one-sided longing, this poem captures the ache of holding onto fleeting moments and unanswered hopes. It explores the quiet heartbreak of waiting for a word that never came, and the silent weight of stories left untold.

You painted shadows, on my mental wall,
A darkened hallway, where I fear to crawl.

The anxious path, your presence has instead.

I wish you knew
Awnaeji 1d
I fell in love with all you are
Not just the light but every scar
The quiet truths you couldn’t share
I saw them still I deeply cared.

Your heart spoke softly though lips stayed still
A gentle pull I couldn’t will
You hid a part afraid I’d flee
But even then you had all of me.

Trust me when I say it’s true
I’ve loved you long before I knew
Before the world before the name
My love for you still burned the same.

And if your secret held you tight
I held you closer through the night
Because real love, it sees right through
And I was always seeing you.
I want this poem to speaks of quiet devotion, seeing through silence, and choosing love even when the truth is hidden. Dear I knew, even if you couldn’t say it. And still truly I loved you. All of you. The hidden parts, the fear, the truth. You never had to hide from me. I wish you knew.

Gentle Grace
Awnaeji 5d
Sometimes we need to slow our pace
To breathe, to find a quieter space.
To feel the sun in gentle grace
And watch the leaves drift from their place.

Sometimes we're lost, unsure, undone
But all we need is lift our eyes to sun.
She shines so high, her warmth so near
Like moonlight soft when night draws near.

In every shadow, light will hide
In every storm, the tides subside.
So take a breath, let peace abide
Everything will turn, be still inside.
I want you to be reminded with this poem that it's ok to slow down, breathe, and find peace in nature’s quiet moments. A gentle hope through imagery of sunlight and moonlight, assuring that even in uncertainty, stillness will guide us back to clarity.

Love isn't just a word to say,
but the quiet ways we choose to stay.
A touch, a glance, the space we fill
Love is present even still.
This poem I made it by what I understand about the song of Friends, Lovers or Nothing by John Mayer. Thus love is only a basis to friendship or it is more than that?

"I'm with you through the darkest days."
So dry your tears, lift up your eyes

Hush my gravity
Awnaeji May 13
I do not fear love
I fear the gravity of him.
He is the storm wrapped in sunlight,
the gentle ruin of every wall I built.

His presence is poetry
a language my soul has always known
but never dared to speak.
He is fire beneath silk,
the hush before a kiss,
the ocean tide that pulls at the shores of my restraint.

To fall for him
would be to surrender my wings
to a sky that might never let me go and yet,
what sweeter fall is there than into a heart
that feels like forever?
A tender unraveling of guarded love, this poem captures the magnetic pull of a soul-stirring connection where desire, fear, and surrender intertwine. It's a meditation on falling for someone who feels like both danger and destiny, written in the language of longing.
Awnaeji 1d
I wanted to speak to say I already know
But fear held tight and I couldn't let it show
Afraid to disappoint I stayed in the shade
While time slipped by and memories decayed.

The color in your eyes I try to recall
But even that now begins to fall
I whispered to silence, What made you stray?
Was it my fault you turned away?

I stood still hoping you'd turn around
Longing for footsteps yet hearing no sound
Waiting to be saved heart open wide
But you ran and I stayed left behind

Now I see clearly the truth in the change
You're not the same and I've grown estranged
I waited for you in dusk and in storm
But I’ve changed too I don’t wait anymore.
A reflective poem about loving in silence, waiting in vain, and finally choosing to let go. It traces the journey from fear and longing to the quiet strength of moving on.

The Locked Drawer
Awnaeji 15h
She’s a room of golden light,
but one drawer stays shut tight.

She laughs like wind through open doors,
yet guards a key beneath the floor.

I never ask, I never pry
some stars were made to burn and lie.

Still, I stay, though I can't see
the secret she keeps away from me.
A someone who holds a part of themselves in silence. A truth or memory tucked away where no one can reach or she doesn't want anyone to know.

The Unseen Tether
Awnaeji Jun 13
For ages I’ve circled ‘round your sun,
A silent moon, outshone, undone.
You were the fire I couldn’t claim,
A distant star that burned my name.

I’ve grown, I’ve drifted, chased the skies,
But still I spin in your sunrise.
No tether holds, no words were said
Just gravity I can’t out shed.
This poem speaks to the pain of holding on to someone who never truly left your heart. It captures the feeling of being stuck in their orbit, no matter how much time has passed or how far life has taken you.

Unspoken
Awnaeji 6d
Yes, I’ve grown feelings deep and true,
But I know they don’t live in you.
So I keep quiet, day by day
Not for fear, but in this way

Not silence born from lack of might,
But out of love, and what feels right.
I will not speak unless you ask,
To guard your peace that is my task.

I will not press, nor force, nor chase,
Nor let these words disturb your space.
If truth would make you slip away,
Then in my heart, those words will stay.

I love you more than just to claim,
I value you beyond a name.
This poem is about quiet, selfless love. It explores the inner conflict of someone who has developed deep feelings but chooses silence out of respect and care. The poem reveals the strength it takes to hold back a confession not out of fear, but out of a desire to protect the other person's peace. It's a gentle tribute to love that values presence over possession, and connection over confession.

Awnaeji 15h
I look, you pass
a breath, a spark.
Desire hides
where words go dark.

No touch, no claim,
just quiet ache
a dream I burn
but never wake.
A desire that simmers in silence, like fire wrapped in silk, never spoken, yet always felt.
Awnaeji 5d
I should be the echo beneath your skin
A quiet rhythm where love begins.
Wound me if you must, let the thunder stay
But don’t be the storm that runs away.

I’ll carry the flame of your whispered fire
The kiss that lit my soul’s desire.
And your eyes , twin stars that once found me
Now haunt the night where I used to be.
A poem sings of feeling's of intensity, sanity and the sorrow of fading closeness. Imaginary of heartbeat echoes, whispered fire, and star-lit eyes, it aims to remember the bittersweet melody of holding on to what once felt before.
Awnaeji Jun 13
In order to love, you should know how first
Not just the sweet, but also the worst.
Not just the giving, but how to receive,
Not just to hold, but also to leave.

Know how to listen when silence is loud,
To stand with a heart that’s not always proud.
To weather the storms and still choose to stay,
To speak through the night and greet each new day.

You must know yourself your shadows, your light,
What makes you tremble, what gives you fight.
For love is no refuge from wounds you ignore,
It knocks, not to fix you, but open a door.

So learn how to carry the weight of your name,
Before asking someone to dance in your flame.
For love is not learned in the blink of an eye
It begins in the mirror, with the courage to try.
This poem explores the idea that true love begins with self-awareness and emotional maturity. Before loving someone else, a person must understand themselves  their strengths, flaws, emotions, and boundaries. The poem emphasizes that love isn’t just about romance or affection, but also about patience, listening, resilience, and mutual respect. It suggests that only when you know how to love including how to handle the hard parts can you genuinely share love with another.
Awnaeji Jun 11
I've loved you quietly, ever since,
Before the world could make me flinch,
Before I knew that love could ache,
Or hearts could crack, or voices break.

I held you in each hidden prayer,
In stolen glances, silent stares,
You were the hope I didn’t name,
The constant in a world that changed.

But loving you, though pure and true,
Feels like a gift I can't give you.
Not whole, not right , not what you need,
Not what your heart deserves to keep.

So I will try to walk away,
Though part of me will always stay.
You need a love that has no doubt,
No fear, no shadows stretched throughout.

Mine never wavered, never strayed,
But pain still lived where love once laid.
And though it breaks me, still I’ll go
You deserve more than I can show.

Yet even from a world apart,
You’ll always live inside my heart.
And if you ask me why I do
It’s because I’ve always loved you.
I'm saving this poem because it deeply resonates with how I feel. I’m dedicating it to someone I’ve loved for a long time—someone who never knew, and I never asked for clarity. I waited, but I don’t think he ever felt the same. Still, I’ve kept this feeling hidden for so long, and it remains the greatest secret I continue to hold.

The Hidden Flame
Awnaeji Jun 13
I loved you like the morning star,
Before the skies knew who we are.
But now I wrap my heart in mist,
A flame I dare not let exist.

In fields where storms have yet to pass,
I hide my love in blades of grass.
Not out of fear, but to defend
A fragile bloom the winds might end.
A poignant poem about a love quietly burning beneath layers of silence and uncertainty, ‘The Hidden Flame’ explores the delicate balance between passion and protection in a world too fragile to bear the truth.
Awnaeji 6d
Warm drops fall on the old café,
Where laughter lived that slipped away.
The summer rain, it hums our tune,
Soft echoes of a distant June.

Your shadow dances in the glass,
A fleeting glimpse of seasons past.
And though the world feels fresh and new,
The rain still brings me back to you.
"Echoes in the Rain" is a nostalgic reflection of my love, evoked by the gentle rhythm of summer rain. Set against the backdrop of a once shared place , memories in an old café this poem captures fleeting memories that resurface with each raindrop. The imagery of shadows, reflections, and a familiar melody paints a tender picture of longing and remembrance. While the rain renews the world around, it bring me back the memories, it revives the feelings, offering a quiet, emotional return to a love that once was.
