I fall too slow,
I fall too fast.
Waiting in silence as the wind carries me away
Drifting by the happy faces,
watching as i bid goodbye to each.
I rest gracefully on a pool of coldness
Drowning ever so slowly,
Staring back at that one pair of hollow eyes
Of the soul standing beside my resting bed.
I hold on to my stare, as she looks away towards the barren tree,
Then back to me with a sign of desperation.
I close my eyes and whisper
"Let not her Hope fall with me."
For I am her feeble Last Leaf....

My body is like a house.
It keeps my soul locked in.
I try to break out at times,
leave behind all that keeps me chained in.
But my house is a keeper,
she thinks of everyone but me.
She seems to feel the touch that never reaches me
and yet she believes and makes me believe too
That staying is worth it.
That staying is peace for all.
I sit screaming as does a child left in a dark room
my voice echoes back, never reaching beyond the walls.
My body is like a house.
A palace of haunted memories.
And i sit alone wondering if escape is what i seek
For my body is like a house,
I am far too tired living in...

Too often we let those words pile up inside,
like a treasure too heavy to carry, too precious to reveal.
Too often turn our emotions into prisoners,
kept in solitary for the mere rebellious act of coming alive.
Flashing moments from past held too dear,
those we want to remember, those we need to forget.
Too often building walls around us,
in fear of living through the same nightmare.
Too often looking away from those we love the most.
Too often caught up in illusion of being saved,
Too often silenced by the thought of being judged,
Too often too late to safe one self....

My yesterday's dream told me,
"You shouldn't sleep for too long."
"For the dreams that begins in beauty,
takes but a second to turn into a nightmare."
My yesterday's dream wouldn't let me sleep.
He had a lot to teach, which he did.
But i a stubborn soul would take none,
if not the colourful rainbows of illusions.
So i lay screaming with my head under the water,
Hoping for an escape within the walls of my sleep.
It took me years to realise it wasn't a battle,
to hold tight on to that which never was.
It took me just a second to understand,
What my Yesterday's dream meant.
And years from now, when this soul knows better
I hope she turns around to smile at our Yesterday's Dream....!!!
