Have you ever given this a thought?
Who will mourn your death?
Your better half?
Your loved ones?
Your friends?
Sad to say...
Life doesn't come to an end when you die
The moment your breathing stops
The clock ticks still
The wind blows as usual
The sun still shines
Life continues
Never stopping
Never ending
At the funeral
Your closed friends cry
Your family breaks down
Temporarily grieving
They wear black
They visit your grave
Your name may linger in their hearts
But as they start to laugh again
You became a memory
The world continues
Life moves on....
 Dec 2015 Forgotten Heart
L Marie
On my mind
All the time
Like my reflection
In a room full of mirrors
Only deep inside
When I shut my eyes
I see that blue staring
Right back into mine
And when my lashes
Flutter open
I feel my heart sink;
I wasn't supposed to see you here
But your absence still haunts me
And I can't explain it
But I miss you
In the most illogical way
And I love you
In the most impossible sense
As shivers run up my spine,
As I close me eyes again,
Trying not to cry.
enough time
turns lost love
into a cicada shell

a hollow melange of
lust and nostalgia
left abandoned under a tree

the ley lines and star alignments that drew us together
have all lock-tumbler shifted
and the combination is in a notebook
in a cobwebbed and dusty box
that i left on the curb for recycling
on some unspecified thursday in 2012
or 11, or 13
something a little unlucky

i miss you
in the same way that i miss
a dream, upon waking:
a sandcastle, built under the wrong moon, described to a stranger
shapes so thick with water that they can't hold,
but it was good, wasn't it?
it was probably good.
it must have been good.
i think i remember smiling.
Caught in a riptide
Lost between my head and my heart
Hair disheveled and a wounded pride
All these roads lead me back to the start

Holding my breath
And count to ten
My heart left me by a quiet death
Just to feel alive, once again.
