Soul
(Part 01)

As the dawn arrived,
the cold breeze
swept the
belt of
yellow sand
with her fragile
delicate fingertips,
till the sun
dipped low
and
melted into
the seas of tears,
for the moon
to take a
flight
into the skies
to have a ballet
with the
stars.
That true beauty lies in those who fade away quietly, letting others shine, and remain until no pain reaches them.

Scents, traces: the ant

its infinity.

The party goes on

above me, I'm having fun --

An attentive kiss

makes you feel all energy --

deep within yourself.

Still after all the years
the mystery
that I love most, you

and your image of me
that you mirror to me
the image to my thoughts

and my promise
to you, my more and less
beautiful for you

in your eyes
that desire me
and call me

Cast aside your worries ‘till they’re weightless
Do not breathe life into all the things that die
Some things can only scratch the surface
So spread your wings and teach yourself to fly
Lift your head so that we may see your smile
I’ve been blinded by the twinkle in your eye
Cast aside your worries ‘till they’re weightless
Then open your eyes that are bluer than the sky

Theres a place at the edge of the sea
Drawing you in while your woes flee

The people are warm and gentle as tea
Where drifters are welcome, yet leave you be

And smiling bright a mayor… or maybe three
I find the more the merrier in this family
So why not drift over, please come on down
Theres always a place for you here, our Kove Town.

I never posted any of my poems
thought people would worry
I went ahead and posted one today
Turns out no one cared anyway
I posted one of my poems on my instagram story and no one asked if I was okay.
I still remain cautious
I’ve talked with the dead
I listened and learned to all that was said
They spoke about horrors
About the things they had done
Flying like Icarus into the sun
I wasn’t judgmental
I let them speak their peace
I just stood there while gazing
Watching their demons release
Into the cosmos
Beget or be gone
Nurture your offspring
Don’t string them along
And your prayers will be answered
Your voice will be heard
Then you can fly like an angel
With wings like a bird
