I don't want to imagine you and her
hands intertwined
walking together in the dark concrete jungle
while I'm left alone on these cold dirt roads.

I can't imagine how you could ever
love a girl like me
that looks upon your past
with such jealousy.

And you wouldn't imagine
how one look in those eyes
makes me gravitate towards you
and forget those times
when you were
with her.

A place where we come together,
Is a place of love.
A place where we write.
Like, comment and admire.

When you join us in this age,
You will see.
How we think, feel.

Writing is more than just putting words to paper.
It is home,
Where you are accepted.

Oh master of chemistry
What wonders you devise
Some make us happy
Some save our lives

Sterile lab coat
In a white sterile cell
You toil all hours
To create the newest pill

We never acknowledge
Your struggle and strife
For the chemical wonders
That are part of our life.

I just want you
to be happy
but sometimes
and selfishly
I want to be
your happiness

But
'happiness is a choice'
you say
and you didn't choose me

I clung onto the idea
since you made me happy
it would be the same for you

What is happiness now?
where has it gone to?
In time, society has robbed us
the real meaning of happiness

Go on your own way
and pursue your happiness
for your smile, is my smile
your laugh, is my laugh

and I'll be happy
when you find your happiness
because I love you
always have, always will

Her
Her anxiety
              An ocean
                           A wave of emotion
                                                     Rips through her
                                                                          All too often.

It trickles through her everyday
seeping into cracks in her core
small springs turn to gushing floods
in a split second.

She crashes down on me
and I stand
the force of her tide
drowning in her doubt.

Holes eroded by the constant drip;
rapids ricochet through her body
her mind awash;
thoughts tumbling in the whirlpool.

She crashes down on me
and I stand
drenched in her
a lighthouse in the storm.

It could have been him.
Same tie dyed shirt
mixed with the smoke of
cannabus.
I loved him.
Isn't that why my heart fluttered
at the sight?
He was everything
I didn't want to be.
The dark side of my moon.
But during twilight
the bright side is only visible.
