In the deeper canyons

Garden of stars, crawls

A ghost of a ghost, hunched
On hind limbs and ready
For the pounce.

from without changed you
within?

but still even tomorrow
you may be gone flying
swift in the breeze, following
your instinctual soul and me too
me too my friend
I will be close behind, waiting no more

of profound significance

engineered by ghosts

under the ageing grass
sprinkled with holy water
decorated with lazy inscriptions.

Tell me not
your latest trick, tell
me not your mother's
tryst with a man as
old as you.

Tell me that you'll
stay young and burn
with me when the
crowds come, calling me on
bringing me to account
for all that I failed to talk of.

Tell me not of the many things that trouble you.

And more than anything
Fall in love with someone who makes you sure
Someone who makes you sure;
That the world isn't such a bad place
That it has to be full of love, because look at that face
That your life, your love is meant for so much more

Because more than anything
We love, to be saved...
Fall in love with someone
Who has you convinced, that they are your Savior
