I didn't want to fall in love, never really been the type
I didn't even want to like you,but then again I guess I might
You see I've been hurt in the past, a few times I'll admit
And you wanna know what's funny, it was all by the same *****
I wish I could tell you that I learnt my lesson
But not the first, not even the second

Something about you is peculiar though
I can't be yet sure, I still don't know
I am drawn back to you again and again
It seems funny, I barely know you, not even a friend
I am infatuated with waking up when you're there
Basking in the aroma of last night's *** in the air

So let's exchange our gifts
You give me flowers and I'll give you ****
While we discard the light of the sun
That lurks impatiently to steal our fun
"Don't go stay a while, work can wait"
"It's only today, I'll see you at eight"

I can see all of your truths imprinted on your skin
And I'm going to feel them with my fingers, taste them with my lips
I'm going to see every little detail
And you won't know a thing
Communication through words was never for us
But I found a way
Your secrets were always your power
But this, this is a secret between your silence and I
You won't know a thing

This night has suddenly became quieter
What's happening -I thought I was getting better?

Am I that messed up in my head?
Thinking about things you did -instead of what you said

I guess it's true
Nothing good happens at night after 2

One moment, I feel so empowered, happy
The next, I find my heart too shabby

It's as if I've shut a girl deep inside
Screaming so loud.. God, I'm tired

When I tell you it hurts —it does
On a physical level, it creates the fuss

After you, it was hard to let somebody in
I had to move on –but it seemed like a sin

It's fading, I feel it and I know you do too
Honey-Sweet memories
now showing the washed out grey
of times decay
that love drunk buzz
So prominent for a time
Now sobering up as our paths re-align
the mind and heart Shift from
our once shared colour-drenched dream
To the monochromatic 2-dimensional blandness of being realistic

we knew it would come
we knew it would go
and no amount of Awareness
can soften the blow

The curse of our conscious bond
is that we can't wrap ourselves
in the comforting blanket
of numbed ignorance
As others might
In the missing of Cold Nights

we knew it would come
we knew it would go
and no amount of Acceptance
can soften the blow

We have our distractions to keep
our Minds occupied and
the Midnight-Blue pining at bay
we preach trust in the Universal plan
And we mantra "come what may"
Yet the insatiable and inescapable void of hollow pervades
as our unity on the horizon
fades to grey

we knew it would come
we knew it would go
and no amount of Understanding
can soften the blow
Knowing what's to come, that it's self-inflicted, as much as we anticipate and prepare. Reality remains unavoidable and painful to face

Happiness is rest on a rainy day.
Happiness is shade on a sunny day at the beach.
Happiness is going home early and there's no traffic.
Happiness is catching up on missed movies.
Happiness is different shades of light.
Happiness is wine and beer at night.
Happiness is a warm hand to hold.
Happiness is having someone by your side to grow old.
Happiness is being happy alone.
Happiness is growing on your own.
dont depend on people for happiness.
