there is a certain stillness, when even the gentle flutter o a butterfly wings feels like a hurricane.

the moment when crashing waves fall asleep, peaceful, lost to the serenity of salty dreams.

when tall trees stand to attention and every leaf passes, takes a deep breath and holds it.

it is here, beneath the maddening silence, i hear your name.

an echo of you. screaming to me...an echo the moon carries trying to reach but can not touch.

My heart hears the invisible author
Beckoning me to beautiful wisdom
As my soul awakens with
A glimmer of aspiration

Even within the midst of sonder
The hiraeth of ineffable mystery
Whispers my name with vivid glimpses of
An ethereal aurora of unknown beauty

As I'm taken by the grandeur
In the silent stilness
My spirit begins to flood
With overwhelming tranquility

As I'm swept up in serenity by
The revelation of Your eternal promise
Lovingly I am bound by
The divine serendipidy of Grace

the night in turmoil
a bumble jumble fumble
of croaks, hoo hoo, purrs, stridulous chirping

then a sudden cringe, ******!,
shush shush
hush, gurgling creek,
hush, whiffled leaves

clippety-cloppety
clippety-cloppety
clok clok clok

a schwing, zing, zip
and a plunk
and a plonk
in a whoosh
and then a scrunche scrunche
and

clok clok clok
clippety-cloppety
clippety-cloppety

silence burbles

tick tock tick tock

shh, shh,
listen:

a sluggy chugalug
and a fuzz of tiny tunes:
a yelp, a eep

stilness

a purr a buzz
putt putt putt
slowly back in motion
the burbles, whiffs, croaks,
the stridulous bumble jumble
of a crickety night
...and this was really helpful:

Jokes aside, what we're waiting for,
Is a penny promise, so cheap to take
And for you to stop ignoring us,

All jigs downstairs, falling
From my stilness
Ah, I remember
What you told me

Pounds of likeness, oozing from your
Oaths
I just remembered
We have somewhere else to be

Fingertips buoyant and dancing
skim across shimmered skin
my breast turn to moving sea
you stand on my beach
youthfully observing
tossing rocks into a stilness
making waves into ripples
my body is full, beautiful, endless
you want to dip into me
want to know me
want to swim.
Someday you will realize
there is no way for you to hold all of me
not at once.
That I am not the body you want.
You will forget me
Turn other bodies into water
No not water but
Bouncing ripples of flesh,
Into waves
Dancing your fingers across their skin with thirst
Forgetting all the ways you have been quenched
Forgetting my body of water for a sea of skin
All that love and i'll turn to rain
I will remain the most beautiful, and endless body
But water wasn't what you were looking for
so sorry you cant hold all of me at once
too expansive to only be a body
to much meaning to just be the sea
yet still to little to go around
still just one

In broken glass
On the bathroom floor
I saw a reflection of a man

So lonely, so old
Shagged and sad

Lone wolf, his life in his hands
Life led alone, because
We die alone, and yet

These few moments of
Togetherness, moments of
You

A beacon of stars
Scattering stilness
Of the night
