"helio" poems
Null is the void, as the void is the lull, lull is the stoic, as the stoic is the soul.
Soul of an eon, as an eon of not, not in the ions, as the ions are lost.
Lost is the sphere, as the sphere is sedition, sedition is fear, as fear is the mission.
Mission of silence, as silence is the crowd, the crowd is the silent, and the silent are loud.

I own one eye a known
Wanderer and an insolent
Student
Its twin
Formed from the first’s
Forgotten breath is as
Static and wide as
Our very Pacific
One eye set upon the tropic
The lizard mineral surfacing
To embrace salt laughing
One then upon our Arctic
The axis eternally poised
To blast and bristle
Our iris unbending gravity
Secreted within ridicule
Eye the Equator as She duels
The very patient curator over
Aqua Photo Helio Fuego

Y me río
no reacciono, me disipo y me elevo.

Twilight tiptoes through curtained clover leaves
Cape starlings stanzaed thank mighty Lord
spindly legs shake on spritely evensong breeze
closing chirp reminding that day is just a chord
What achievements marked chanting hours
manifesting with helio hands and heedful head
paper, pencil, thoughts danced about in bower
patterned sensations twirled needle and thread
A silent hymn I sit awaiting bright sickle moon
indwelling spirit dissolving wispy wanton wishes
blossoms lotus, liberates mind a special boon
intentions iambic winking flimsy floral fetishes
Moment to moment tasks tangent complete
each twilight twins a masterful morrow sweet

He wipes the dried flakes of soil from his face as he comes to life.
He is called to his task in the air.
Rises, he rises.
With tireless love he takes his chair.
Angels touch his skin
Which glistens in the golden glow
Of an orb that burns eternal,
Or as long as lives a soul.
A new day begins
When Helio pulls the sun
In the employment of Saturn
For the service of all and one.
Would the world get by without him?
Would the day be ever long?
He never pauses to wonder
When he pulls his chariot along.
There never is a day
He thinks they should give praise.
Love means that he does the task
Without a question to be raised.
Rarely given Helio
Is a thanking for the light;
For bringing them the sun
Until the time of night.

I spread you as
bed sheets
150 million kilometers wide
to secure your
uncouth
your speed to
my helio
your center-pierced
bellybutton
I still think about you
that way
