"enthrones" poems
i reach in and silently grasp
the motionless windsong
the captured bird
and with deft fingers release its bindings
with a phrase give tender to its
timid fire
with intent i set in motion the
captivation by slow roses
the freedom by the scarce better graces
of humanity's collective soul
the thoughts are sticky
engraved with each meaning softly embedded
into its thick skin
the carefully crafted box
of her smile
each detail lovingly attended
each lined honed with precision
she fine tunes her perfect form
and spray bottles the scents
one for public consumption
the other for me alone
enthrones her earrings in edible lobes
and with zealous care places a bead necklace
in the sweating sweet expanse of naked skin
of her open polo shirt collar
shakes out her hair
with a little version of dancing sitting down
while singing along with phish
and then she catches me open lustful staring
and laughs
'want some...come get it babe'
her tennis outfit
misplaced on the shopping center floor
is neatly wrapped around her in a mixture
of loose and tight
devious adventure for the eyes

Chinaware arranged
On a dining table -
A spectacle of silver
And breakables.
The clock strikes another hour
Yet no figure enthrones itself
At the opposite side
Of my seat.
Clutching my eyes
To the staircase
Of the chamber,
I wait patiently...
Though the food have gone cold.

Cats and the Office of Prime
With the dignity of an abbess the cat
Enthrones herself upon the morning fence
To welcome with due solemn liturgies
The daily rising of the given sun
Her slow lavabo accomplished, she turns
Offering the peace of Cat to the assembly:
The lesser cats, the even lesser dogs
The night-chilled lawn, the dewy leaves, the light
She blinks her blessings there upon the day
And all is complete
When happy children then come out to play

not so distant dogs bay through streets
an uneasy wind slaps at leaves
and now a wail-whoop of ambulance gloom
loops the dying afternoon
and even in the home
from my room
the dinny grin of television
and banging doors
a dull clang of words
and the beating of my blood
at small impending dooms.
Yet.
I am held - for all that -
shimmering-still
a castle
in the eye
of storms.
Peace is not a white flag.
its molten gold enfolds
the floundering soul -
enthrones it into
a whole eternity of
untold quiescence.

She drains my energy and enthrones my hurt...
When it rains I feel pains inside my frame.
She craves love but knows not
how to preserve it
She weaves wants and calls them lovers
When she is
Heart broke
She only needs
A rebound
That only deepens the wound
Of the heart
Bleeds as it hurts
It pleads afraid to love again.
But foolishly
She gives in to lies
Wide open thighs & wide shut eyes
She tries to moan
But he groans as she mourns
In the morning
He takes off like a raven
For true love only lasts one night if not an hour
Now she shudders recalling when he shuddered
Oh God she is shuttered and severed the slipknot...

Look at me;
See the results of dissipated love turned to agony.
Look deeply;
At the pain of every blow inflicted intensely.
See me;
See the suffering that has ravaged my life and emptied the contents of my soul.
Pierce through my walls;
For your eyes only can hold this degenerating mold.
Hear me;
Hear my soul cry out from the rubble that me enthrones.
Listen;
To the sounds of crying as my dying spirit mourns.
Come closely;
And hear my whispering sighs as one who has relinquished - defeat,
Attend to me;
See that I am a love sick soul.
Touch me;
Feel the beating of my heart in dubious harmony.
Feel me;
and touch my pain with your heart as my heart pounds for yours only.
Come near me;
Know that my warmth is gone and my body a corpse
Pinch me;
For a dream would be mercy ; the pain it would stop.
See my scars;
As I see your eyes and my life growing dim in its beauty.
Hear my scars;
As my heart hears yours and knows no other than thee.
Touch my scars;
And feel the result of our rapture.
Know I am scared;
Only by your love – for your love alone could break me.
