A man stands on the side of the road
eyeing you on your walk home from work.
You've been here before.
He whistles.
"Hey, pretty lady!
What's a sweet thing like you
doing out so late?"
Walk faster.
Keep your eyes on the ground.
Maybe if you pretend you don't hear him
he'll leave you alone.
'I think we should stay friends.'
I knew this was coming.
And yet these words sting like
shards of ice to tired eyes.

My heart freezes over,
but my legs slowly melt.
Now knee-deep in defeat,
I curse the day I fell.

i need something to do
anything
to get my
mind
to stop
spiraling

but i dont have the
energy
to
do
anything
anymore
even writing is draining me
the only thing left to do it sleep

Immortality
The trees breathe
in a language
older than time.
I’ve got this massive curry leaves tree in my garden. It’s my unofficial therapist..... hehe
Yep, I share my problems with it—big, small, and downright embarrassing...
But I make sure no one’s watching. I don’t want the neighbors thinking I’ve gone nuts!!
heheheh~~

Peter Garrett
We can be strangers if you like
We can talk about the weather
Our silly plans for the weekend
Or how life has been kind to us
Trust me, I'm a terrific actor
You'll hardly be able to tell

We can be strangers if you like
Or at least we can pretend that
It doesn't shred us to pieces...
Have you ever come across friends and lovers that meant the world to you... and then had to act like they were mere acquaintances?
Never mind... hello there, stranger!
