We used to spill colors in the good days
Now we reminisce in small conversations
Heaven came, at least it seemed that way
Cover my outline in a rainbow creation
I could have sworn I glowed for a second
Now living in the moment feels more precious
It’s crazy where everyone came and went
From where we started to where we end
I’m writing this before I write the poem/piece. I’m just gonna put some stuff down and see what comes.

I desire to log the lessons I have retained
from the memories I do not wish to keep.

Only then, am I able to erase
the corrupt files
I am forced
to store
in the
depths

of my
strained
mind.

How many pebbles does the jar contain?
Count them one by one, put them back again.

How many pebbles on the beach?
Can never count them all, they are out of reach.

How many pebbles in your hand?
My heart a singing stone, you rescued from the sand.

IntoTheGale
In the dressing room-
Mirror upon mirror,
Folded just right,
Creating a continuum
Of dimensions in which
I stand in silent observation,
Am I the man I see
(Or wish I saw)
Or am I merely A man-
Like any other?

Over time I dissolve,
My vision shattering me
Into the parts that
Make up my body-
The veins on the back of my hand,
The knuckle dislocated, offset
By some long-forgotten
Trauma ignited by an impotent rage
At not having the right words-
The brown in my eye that reflects
The look of a father who gifted
Me this, and nothing else.
The creases that time has carved
In my smile-
A testament to the unforgiving
Desert sun’s ability
To break me down-
To the heart’s inability
To ever truly forgive,
Let alone forget.
Am I not greater than the sum
Of these parts?

I am all that the mirrors
Reflect upon themselves,
The testament to
What air and heat and gravity
Have imposed upon me.
But within the blood
coursing beneath
The skin, lives every song
That broke me, every poem
That fractured me,
Every sunrise I waited up
For, to tuck me in,
Every ocean wave that
Moved my small
insignificant self
Along the grainy
unforgiving strand,
Every kiss that destroyed me,
In the most perfect of ways-
And in those I am not
Merely a man-
I just Am.

what's the sense in reminiscing
being the one that's left behind
when all your friends go missing
by way the art of dying

when you reach the fold of much too old
to want to carry on
if truth be known out loud was told
all your friends are gone

what's the sense in reminiscing
if all you do is cry
no need to waste time guessing
when you know the reason why

when the world moves into season
where all it knows is cold
in its quest best be believing
that you're the next to go

what's the sense in reminiscing
if all you have are last goodbyes
trying to keep the secret hidden
that death is a part of life

you find this section hard to row
being the last one in the boat
what's the sense in reminiscing
when you can barely stay afloat

She named me "Joy" so I can bring happiness to her

But I turned out to be the black sheep of the family.

I never wanted to be the reason for her sorrows and cries

But I couldn't even make her smile for once.

There she was
waiting in the twilight
disguised as a pixie
in a field of
magic mushrooms.
Her aqua hair
smells of the ocean-
the kind that washes into your dreams,
but me,
I did not have to dream
tonight.

Bluelily
If you are to colour my love...
Which color would it be...

Would it be yellow?
The colour of spring, sun shine
And freshness...

If you are to colour my love..
Which color would it be...

Would it be red?
The hue of passion, adventure
And anger...

If you are to colour my love..
Which color would it be...

Would it be green?
The tone of the nature, life
And unending energy...

Imbue my love with blue
Which tinges the eternal sky and the sea..

Soak me in blue, the colour of depth and stability..

Hide me in the depths of those blue eyes, the sparkling sapphires...

I want to be the blue Lily
Of your blue heaven...

If you are to colour my love..
I KNOW Which color would it be...
