Feel the cold
Tickling my spine
Winter chill
See the curling
Circles from
My breath
Winter chill
Taste the cold
Like a melted
Ice cube in my mouth
Winter chill
Smell.that unexplainable
Smell in air
Winter chill
Touch the frost
On.window panes
Winter chill
Feel see taste smell touch
Winter chill
Winter is a
Whisper away

The geese are honking
They are having so much fun
Party is over

The only motherly thing I knew
was the coldness of my blade;
gently washing away the
sadness of my burdened heart
She never made me feel loved only afraid and unsafe.

Words travel
In time
In books
In speech
In thought
Wordstouch
In soul
In heart
In mind
Words print
In books
In mind
In soul.
Words gift
In heart
In sharing
In truth
Words are meant
To be shared
To be eaten
To be digested
To be tenderly
Cared for
Words are written.said
Prayed and sung
Words are a treasure
To be
Buried in the heart
Or shared with others
Words aren't  just words
Words are the
Hidden unicorns
Of our being

Oh to be a goose
Honking in the air
Making lots of noise
Flying in the air
Spreading my wings
Waiting for a
Perfect place to land
Finding food to eat
And a place to chase
My friends
Swimming in  a pond
A lake crystal clear
Or murky water
No matter
In the business of
Just being
I don't have to be
A goose
Honking in the
Air
Making lots of noise
Spreading my wings
Looking for a perfect
Place to land
Hunting for food
Chasing my friends
I can do this.
By myself
To be grounded
And then take
Flight
Fly
I stand here
On my own
Spreading my wings
Yet scared to fly
