When I was hurt & lost someone dear
I did go on because I am a foot soldier

When the going got tough with nothing to gear
I did go on because I am a foot soldier

when the faith felt small & doubts really bigger
I did go on because I am a foot soldier

When the sky was dark & nothing seemed near
I did go on because I am a foot soldier

when the wounds were hurting with no immediate cure
I did go on because I am a foot soldier

when the hopes were grim & nothing was clear
I did go on because I am a foot soldier

When storms came hard striking some fear
I did go on because I am a foot soldier

I fought & fought & I fought till the victory was sure
Yes, I could do it because I am a foot soldier
I never regret the past
And its pain
Winter and its rain.
Time is fast
Good and bad
Will never last.
Seize your day
As if the last day.
Make of your life
A daily song
Even if things go wrong.
Life is pretty
Regardless of its being rusty.

We will fly away,
you and I,
far from our pain,
far from our fears,
far from our pasts,
to a place where
dreams replace reality.
Today,
I was reminded of something important
Nothing is really permanent

He was always going to leave
And I still have to live
Getting back up

Three princesses born of no man,
Touched magic with infant hands
Grasping, culling, casting
Three princesses dwelling
Where no man can
A fantasy piece written at the same time as another poem. The other poem has been accepted for publication, but I still like this one.

Last night I smashed my phone

I don't know why I did it

And yet I hate myself for doing it

For the reason I did it

Because I know it was bad

My behaviour was unacceptable

Each time I see the smashed screen it makes me feel sick
When Can I Stop Feeling Like I Ruined Everything?
