As I wade through these waters,
Cold, damp and up to my knees;
Looking forward to my next step,
Rolling up my sleeve;

When upon a sudden depth,
I plunge...
Deeper into my blackened sea;
Unable to swim
Dropping to one knee;
Wounded by my needle,
I BLEED...

Feeling,
as if only moments from my last breath,
I cough with relief.
Trapped in a vortex,
As the swirling waves engulf me...

Vision blurs,
As I last dry heave;
My chest begins to seize...
Unable to swim;
As I reach my reality.
Wounded by the needle ,
I BLEED...
No notes needed, I suppose...

Sleep has its own zip code

Dreamland is the nightly
Wait and wonder
We all have membership to

But this has its limits

The boundaries belong
To another kingdom

One of fun and adventure

A place of equilibristic feats
And corporeal claims

It's a fair trade-off

Sometimes we count sheep
In the center

Other times we play games
On the perimeter
If you could lock up three words
to keep forever,
that were yours and yours alone

What three would you choose
that were not ‘I Love You,’
your heart to save and own

Three magical words
to live within,
now yours forever more

Three magical words
to light the way
—and open every door

My old heart roams around with you
Cut out of schedules
Grown out of loafers
Like the gifts once found
Beneath the pleasant tree we once shared
In one
I am all of memory
And once yours
No more
And she can have it. (: (:
Golden strings
Worn thin and brown
Like hair once let
From ponytail down
Around fireside
A plucking keep
A look by flames
Ignites in me
A song
A song
To keep

you know I'd let you rip my heart in half
