they told me to pour my heart into everything i do
so that's what i did
i poured and poured and poured,
now they ask me why i'm so empty
when i was just doing what i was told.

“Eyes are the windows to your soul”
      And while that may be true
         I see an entire doorway
           When I look into you
            Corridors full of art
             Leading to eternal
                     sunshine
            I see a friendly door
          With a welcome home
                        sign.
