with such verve, the jester strides into the courtyard.**
on stilts with a tambourine in hand,
a mask conceals his face
yet still boasts of his sun-smile!
he dances to dulcimers and drums,
he's charming and the people laugh
as they look up at him in wonder,
but when his performance is done, he leaves;
the townspeople return to their chatter,
but i watch him, the gypsy-wonder on stilts,
leaving to tread other lands all alone
to bring merriment through show,
and i feel the heaviness of my heart
knowing the he took it with him.
inspired by Suzanne Vega's song, "Gypsy".

Lost your *** and spent your gold
Drunk all night and you were told
The Murphy girls have brothers ninefold...
So, have you an inkling this mornin'?
Don't say you had no warnin'!

Gee those Murphy girls sure are pretty
But now your listening to this "told ya so" ditty
Got a bit fresh and way too giddy...
So now your hurting this mornin'
At least last night wasn't boring!

So next year's the same when put'n on the green
Remember the date it's March Seventeen
Kathleen, Maureen, Colleen do preen...
Just to count your gold in the mornin'
So don't be a leprechaun hornin'
Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
Any coincidental name of the same is sheerly that, please don't send your brother.

In order to be glee
One's mind should be free
Free of burdens and exhaustion
Only such life is a satisfaction

This world is a dungeon for us
That is why we have created so much fuss
Just like  birds trapped in a cage
Waiting for the door to open, they gaze.

So let them overburden you with their expectations
And don't say a word about it in hesitation
Just do what they say
As long as you stay
Life is so exhausting, tough and unfair.
