In the light, we smile and play, Nightly I toss and turn, Some may say "Just count the sheep", Ominous fiends dance within my mind, My thoughts raced at the speed of light Nothing will lull me now, In the dark, I stay awake, As though it were the day.
Blinding us all from reality, Enchanting the ones who see, Attraction is a dangerous game, Unhindered by reality, Tantalizing the mind, You'll never break free.
Evening’s sultry skyline forge Neglecting imminence of graphite gown Devoured brass and copper ores Exhaling candent ingots onto downtown And when the density of gloom let out Vapors and blues like midnight hour hunters Onward it led me through hasteless walkabout, Reflected and shone on in city lanterns
