Everything emptying
Emotions burn still
Life twisted into a Rubicon drill
Things started fading

As a leaves deprived by sun to live
My sojourn end with no laurels
Instead silence stare at me
As ocean turns dry

Sand swallow my body
I saw my spirit traversing
Into a narrow way of glowing incense
Many adore the smoke in a round hut like goddess appeasement

The quest was full of hatred
As my body was stinking
And decaying on termites parvenu
My alluring body gives in to earth deceit

shivering
shadows
of lingering fingers
fulfilling... culminating
this coil of mortality...
muted mystery
sought

bewitching
he runs his hands
ravishing desires...
beautiful thought

harbinger to eternity
he holds your heart
within ethereal
grasp

longing for
languid lethargy
breath becomes
your last...

blackest kiss
transcends bliss
faded flowers known

towards the light
in your flight
to heaven
to God's

throne

glory glitters
all around
you're jaw
is opened
slack!

Jesus says,
"... it's not your time...
my child, you're going

BACK!

I'm the Lover of your soul.
do not covet Death...
he will come when
I allow...
for now, in me rest..."

so, now, you are
caught by Him
back to earth
returned

you have to wait
for divine fate...

*another lesson learned.
This was written for a friend.
I know the style changed toward the end... but I promised this poem
and wanted to complete it
This is poetry's pride
It's a poets problem

The compilation of words
Spoken like a sword wielded

All we have is voice
a noise to compliment thought

Speech is a vital choice

Maybe I'm in love with love itself

Fearing the sacrifice love requires

A love that endures all the struggle and strife

I want a love that cuts lies like a knife

I want a love that ties truth like a knot

I want love
Romans 5:1-8 (NIV)
Peace and Hope

"1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
I was never the hero of
My own life. Nor did I try to
Be. I ran. No Red Badge of Courage.

No Olympiad. No laurels to be placed
On a head bowed in humility. I ran...
In the wrong direction. I had a Dragon
To chase, you see. No St George,
However. I wanted to embrace the
Monster, and take it home. And in
Doing so, i was severely burned
In the process
.

I've spent a majority of my life
severely addicted to drugs and
Alcohol. Anything. ***. Amphetamines.
Acid. ***... Anything that could
Alter my pathetic state. I was the
Walking Wounded. Dead. My drug
Of choice was *******. Crack. It did
The job better than anything else
I tried. The euphoria a road to
That fabulous beast unlike any other.
That pipe and lighter its flaming maw.

But, ironically, the rock of my shame
Lead to the Rock of my Salvation.

And I finally ran... into Jesus's arms.
I've decided to write a book about
My addiction... and salvation. It's going to take up a
Great deal of time, so please bear
With me... thanks!

Lord, You have set me free.

Not to live for myself.

But to be a slave for You.

And in this...

there is

true

freedom.
"So if the Son makes you free, then you are unquestionably free." --John 8:36.
Maybe some day we will dance
Holding hands in disbelief
As tears of joy
flow from our eyes
While the field of flowers
will cheer in salute
Maybe our eternity
will come to an end
And our day will come
to begin . . . just maybe

Just maybe I hope
beyond my dreams
Waiting for the one you love
A lone tree stands out
Against the stormy sky

On the far side of
The lawn in our garden

Surrounded by snowdrops
Quite a pretty picture!
