I make myself a ****** in a river rushing with hopeful ambition.
I listen to the whispers and jot mental notes on the subleties of conversation:
The gilded mistakes of over confidence and deviancy.
The honesty of misreading a situation.
The defeat in his voice, darkening eyes and flattened smile when she affirms the 'no' with which the conversation began.
All in all, a quite enjoyable evening for the ******.
A man with no home saw the anger in our eyes and asked if we had just been in a war, not knowing that the war still rages on. Our home is a war zone where the kitchen tables rumbles like thunder and the walls shake from bomb attacks. Sadness fills rooms with saltwater and white sharks feeding on misunderstandings and words that cannot be taken back ones spoken. A man with no home knows more about homes than the people living in them. Maybe that is why my father will not acknowledge the homeless.

Watch & learn
See the sun?
It leaves each night
So the stars can shine
It is greater
More powerful
But it gives them a chance

Don't be greedy

Watch & Learn
See the moon?
It shines bright
Despite just reflecting the sun
It is beautiful
And has power
Yet it's a mere reflection

Take pride in yourself

Watch & Learn
You see the trees?
They lose their leaves each fall
Yet they're not sad
They are strong
And resilient
And they grow more leaves

Do not give up

Watch & Learn
Nature has the answers
If you only
Watch
And learn
I try to learn what I can from the world around me, which is what this is about
So many people using a gun
So many lashings by a tongue
Greed, a ton
The hatred is never done
Everything and everyone as to be outdone
It's just not fun
So many people shunned
The Bible redone
So many killings by someone's son
The life of the devil has begun
Love, there is none
This world
Becoming unfurled, uncurled
Staying in madness and in a twirl
The things in this world would make anyone hurl
What happened to God fearing
The good is disappearing
And everything is interfering
The bad being so domineering
No one cheering
The ugliness in people always appearing
This world is dying
And we just keep on denying and defying
While ignoring it's crying
Everyone keeps on lying
This world
Needs so much prayer
Do you think anyone would dare
or care
I hope they are aware
This is all our affair
Can't you see the despair

God is returning to this world beware

This World
