And if I were to die now,
What would define me,
But my youthful years,
And nights spent in solitude...
If you have accepted that you are going to die alone....is 'when' really a question?
Reading someone else’s poetry
is like trying a weird side dish at a party.

It’s that strange dip that your friend made
and they just keep begging you to try it.
When you finally give in and you take a bite,
one of two things is always bound to happen.

It’s amazing, you love it,
you eat the whole bowl.
You shower them with compliments
and ask them for the recipe

or

It’s bland and it’s dry
can’t even finish your first bite.
You muster up your best fake smile
and squeak out, “This is great”.

It’s imperative that you keep in mind
No matter if it’s good or bad
if it rocked your world or burned your tongue
you will probably only taste this once.
everyone has one true love
well maybe two or three
but you finally found a true love
and I’m glad it wasn't me
This isn't nearly as mean as it sounds.  I just recently saw someone I used to date and she was happy with her husband and their kid and I knew that I would never have been able to make her that happy.
Oh bush warblers!
Now you've **** all over

Jesus Christ.
Look at this character.
I wish I were a genie
Locked in a bottle I would hide
There no one could hurt me
the smell on your breath told me Exodus
the existence of us on the precipice
right where the left side chest is
the edge of your lust told me Exodus

a band of the 80s, a mere decade older
a book of the Bible, 2 inches from your shoulder
you came up and said "i'd like to get to know ya"
i made a little space for a supernova

the usage of ink on a body of sin
a skin that wasn't so paper-thin
i took my ink to paper for a spin
you took yours straight to the skin

the color of the smoke told me Exodus
a far exit away from the darkness
a fine walk ahead of our Genesis
the edge of your lust told me Exodus
