The chilling nature who stood still,

Once decided to dance her way,

Inflicting a stir around as she moved,

Causing the world a great loss.


Thousands took their last breath,

While countless lost their shelters and families.

Rescuers sweat day and night,

Holding on to a fading hope.


The city that was once smiling,

Turned to a mass of shattered rubble.

Homes that were once full of laughter,

Declined to a mass of ****** dust.


The nature stopped her dance and left,

Leaving behind a cracked dance floor,

Leaving an air of cold death,

Leaving the whole earth mourning.

When I'm gone before you,
Forget all the bad times we've had,
Remember only the best moments,
And smile that all of them happened.

Through the times when each kiss could bring a poem to shame.

She called me then,

I kept mum, and didn't go.
I gave excuses that I were busy,
And she heard me holding her pain.

She called me again,
To visit her soon,
She was in tears, and was desperate,
I said I'll see her, once the time is right,
And she hung up, as hopeless as before.

She called me yesterday,
Her voice was weak,
She wanted to see me, but I didn't go,
I said I'll be there in a few days,
She silently agreed to me.

Today I'm going to meet her,
She, my mom, lay there still.
Her eyes are closed and calm,
She never complained anymore,
All she did was welcome me with her dead silence.

The only darkness I love is
When all I see is the glint in your eyes,
The only shadow I love to watch is
Your shadow that refuses to leave mine,
The only emptiness I enjoy is
The empty space that's filled with us and our dreams,
The only struggle I love is
When I fight for you!
