what do you do when he gets what he wants
and just leaves you hanging
he doesn't text you back or anything
he just takes a part of you and leaves with it
you feel empty
you want it back
a part of you wishes it never even happened
Thoughts of you used to be dragonflies.
Now they're polar bears.

They used to softly pull at the corners of my mouth,
Giving me a constant look of contentment.
Now they only inspire a gag from within by,
Bearing their teeth and with a growl,
Expelling stinky, hot breath into my nostrils.

Now, instead of easily slipping to sleep,
To the hum of the pretty insects,
At the end of my days,
I lay down and give myself over to
The vicious claws of your memory.
I let them come and thrash at my skin.
I am all out of fight. I let them tear me open,
Devour my strength and relish in my pain.

Upon waking in the morning,
I will calmly regard the damage,
Before silently repacking my organs
Into my abdomen and carefully stitching
The casing of my body back together.

Before, walking out of the door,
I gaze upon the likeness of Frankenstein's
Monster in the mirror, then apply enough
Powdery foundation to face the world
Under the guise of "I'm great! how are you?"

Finally, when the sun and smiles fade and
Have rendered me utterly exhausted, I will once-again
Fall back into bed with the polar bears of you.

I'm dating depression
He knocks on my door
Although he smiles for miles
I knows he hides more

Depression just loves me
He's been other places
He takes other forms
Same guy, but new faces

He sneaks up on me
With surprise in his eyes
Claiming he changed who he was
But I know he lies

People change too
Like the leaves in the fall
And as the foliage fades
My lover does call

"Love me like only you do"
"Need me because I need you"
"Protect me from what I can't help"
**"Save me, but from myself"
The bowers whereat, in dreams, I see
  The wantonest singing birds,

Are lips—and all thy melody
  Of lip-begotten words—

Thine eyes, in Heaven of heart enshrined
  Then desolately fall,
O God! on my funereal mind
  Like starlight on a pall—

Thy heart—thy heart!—I wake and sigh,
And sleep to dream till day
Of the truth that gold can never buy—
Of the baubles that it may.
If there were words for this
Perfect words for this feeling
Then maybe there'd only be one
Poem, song, book, film
But there are no words
To describe this burning absence.
So I'll write another poem
About you.

Chaos
What do you
want from me?**
I have done
almost everything
I possibly can
to get over you
But how
can I do that
When you
won't let me?
Help!
I'm being pummeled
By thousands of ghosts
That sciencey-guy over there
Said they were called neutrinos

I don't trust it though
It's mumbo-jumbo
But don't worry about me
I learned how to fight ghosts

Where's my garlic?

Wait, that might be for use against vampires.

Oh no.
O, I seek ye, paperclips
How you so kindly bind my documents
In the most orderly of fashions
O, greatest and most convenient
Loops of metal -  are ye sentient?
For if you were, I would surely state
My pure and deepest gratitude -
For your unending, ever-sacrificing
Services to my matters of
Organization ne'er go unnoticed
