Faces forlorn, one frozen moon,
Eyes of mine, but clouds of stars,
Sea shells are pale, fairest debris
And not a neckless you once gave
To me, the ocean is a muddy flood,
A container for tears, rain without end
Even the sun in sky is small without joy,
Even birds in flight leave, not enthralling,
And scattered pines that line the moors,
Are lost to shivers in the dark wide opens,
Little things are all about, surrounding me,
Little things reminding of us, hounding, see,
Small wee things are in coldness and queer,
Little things mounting each day of the years,
O how little things alight were once so dear.
When days to wilds became
Bright song of spring so real,
We gifted selves shameless,
Blooms laden in sunny fields.

Kisses grew whisperings airy,
Whizzing round us like bees,
O when we loved true dearly,
Gusts blew breathy thru trees.

Our touch devoting like rings,
Golden in grasses rung green
And eyes glazed over singing,
Wet and sleepy as ***** dream.

O how inmost times passed,
Winsome wee flowers in grass.
Kind boys,
Others I have known,
Come to me with glee,
Not like you,
With eyes that do quarrel
And suit me so unsuiting,
My skin bared.

Kind lads,
Complement my ginger hair,
My eyes, green as May grass,
Not like you,
Brazen lad so tall and stark,
With eyes blue as sheer cold,
My flesh shivers.

Kind souls,
Wish to court me and understand
Why my eyes askance are waiting,
Wishing for you,
Something unbridled in dark wilds,
A call of the glens to my blood only,
My insides craving.
The sky veils in a tear
As the misbegotten lover is still
In a tremble of vasted nothings
Even airs unsembled.

The rain comes going
With a lost breath settled sailing
And with eyes grey as regretting
Sailed skies cry rowing.

Now love is on a wake
And the clouds silently scream
To wait in trains of moon dream
White as a pearly gate.

waking
newly human
strange and soft;
pinpricks, feelings -
the crawlings around inside you
shiver as your skin becomes real

a nightlight for daytime sleeplessness
carry the seas inside yourself
like people:
walking barefoot
drinking sunstreams
and braving the dark red nights

hark, choir voices, still
slurring miss you discrepancies
howls in empty skies
wolves die

a misunderstanding of your insides
bones
more sand than rock
crumble at a press too hard

on this,
last day of your first life
hung on a boy’s fingers
the edge of a cliff
taste the water in your nerve endings dragging you home
you splinter,
and you rise -

when the bruise blooms, you shine
Your Raven black hair
Glistens in spotted sun,
Is lighter than air, combing
Through my weightless lungs,

Your ocean blue eyes
Are craven to my desires,
Rich and salty with true light
I pray our skin sets each to fire,

Your touch is want of mine,
My body craves loudest flame,
Hear my breaths, seethe alive,
Our heats frozen, love untamed.
High upon this hill, blue an green
My heart races in balm of drizzle,
I taste the seas' shimmers, crofts,
The turf and tobacco betwixt rain
Travel from my village to mind me
That this be an ancient landscape,
I inhale deeply damp Clannish air,
Have come to know winter peace
And all is golden in fey softy days,
In the scours of lamb scented sun.
