Victory

I'm pass the point of no return.

There is no thought that can't be said.
No secret than can be tucked away.

I will stand strong in this storm with my hands in fist and my feet planted in the ground.

Days of victory are soon to come & I refuse to be silenced by this crippling illness.
Your picture smiles as first it smiled,
The ring you gave is still the same,
Your letter tells, O changing child,
No tidings since it came.

Give me an amulet
That keeps intelligence with you,
Red when you love, and rosier red,
And when you love not, pale and blue.

Alas, that neither bonds nor vows
Can certify possession;
Torments me still the fear that love
Died in its last expression.
The seconds become minutes become hours,
I wait,
The days stretch to weeks,
I hate,
To wait.

For a bus for a plane
Yet I am no nearer
To expounding my love for you

            I wait.

I really did love you,
but you're a bookworm
and I was just another book you read

I really did love you,
but you have a sweet-tooth
and I was just another chocolate you ate

I really did love you,
but you love to play fire
and I was just another match you lit

I really did love you,
but you were a chain-smoker
and I was just another pack of cigarettes

Liars.
If you ever happened to miss me one day,
It's probably because I'm gone.

If you ever happened to see me one day,
Walking down these streets,
Go ahead, you can greet.
"Hello, how are you now?"
Ask me questions, everything you want to know.

If you ever happened to remember me,
How we were so happy.
How I love you-
And you,me?
Those moments instilled in my
memory.
Creating a sense of nostalgia,
Of hope, that perhaps we are meant to be.

If you ever happened to, someday realize, you love me.
(laughing to myself)
It will never happen.
I know it will never be.
For you had married her. Not me.

If you ever happened to hope for a
story with me.
It will be too late already.
For,
Ours, died long before it can even be alive.
To the man I hope to love but cannot. This is NOT for yoĆ¼

Melt

Your words embody me and melt in such a way I lose all train of thought.

I breathe you in deeply as though you will only last a moment.

Take me, melt me, mold me to the very curve of you.
