I fall back
on uttered words.

In them
I find comfort.
Like a spear
of newly birthed rays,
slipping silently
between complacent
drapes.

The warmth I feel
like love upon my skin -
wholesome and sufficient.

And the day matures
as do the words.

What used to soothe
now burns as hot as
the midday sun.

Draw the curtains.
Your mind isn’t yet ready
and is no match
for smouldering embers.

I tripped.
I fell on uttered words.

Here I am,
engulfed and cocooned
in heavy drapes.
Your innocent eyes lightly closed
Your tender limbs partly stilled
In swaddling linen’s comfort wrapped
You sleep within your mother’s girdling arms.

Away from all care you drowse
Away from the snares and sorrows of the world
With Heaven smiling from the heights
And swarm of angels keeping guard round

Fresh as the freshest vernal green
Lovely as the loveliest summer bloom
Soft as the softest silky fleece
You rest, a priceless gift wrapped in grace

Blissful is your sleep
Envious is your state
But weep not, when you wake
Bursting this cocoon to the chill and heat

For on your sides, colorful wings will sprout
With iridescent shades, curves and spots
To carry you over frost and snow
And to feast on the dew served in floral cups!
Dear friends, taking a short break from HP. Thank you for all your support ! I shall read your poems when I come back !
Today I spun a web
And thought how your curves
Shatter the moon,
I think far into myself
And receive the death I deserve,
Die into me,

I reconciled with the ways
Of your touch
And split open the thesaurus,
No words.....

Today a web
And the spindle is your
Caress when I am the salt
Of my sweat,
There is peace there,
The silken threads
Of your world,
And I would be happy a fly.

Keep your silver,
Keep your gold,
Take your money and keep them all...
You've hurt me, you've hurt my soul...
Turned me cold, said I was getting old...
You gave me tears but now it won't shed...
Knowing the truth, yes you are so bad...
Stop there, stop it right now...
You don't have the rights to call me any how...
Keep my gifts,
Keep my words,
Give them away when you get bored...
The back stabbing from you lashes like sword...
It's okay, carry on with your petty deeds...
Am not bothered as I returned your needs...
Remember karma plays a part to...
Watch your actions, Watch what you do...

If you knew me at all you would know that
chocolates or flowers are not required...
What I do require is just a moment
of your time
to feel appreciated and loved
Regardless of what you may think
I am actually very easy to please
Watching the sunset with you
with a drink in hand
Would make me feel
like queen of all the land
For just this moment I would be
At the top of your to do list :)
Repost out of the archives for Valentine's day :)
