Tell me this if you will
when
that Jack and his Jill,
decided to climb up the hill
did they know
that
history would show
they only went for the
water?

Did Jill's dad think that Jack, and his daughter
might be up to no good?
Did dad think Jack, bad?
a right Jack the lad?

Did
Jill think the same, and up the hill
was like foreplay before the
start of his game?
We'll never know and history will
never show us
the truth.
Breathing in,
Exhaling smoke from my lungs
An elixir
A rhythmic motion to ease my mind
Euphoria on my tongue
A space in time,
Closing my eyes,
It's hard to define the same feeling
With any other action
A reaction
To you dealing out metaphors
Double meanings and fake lines.
Exhaling you out my mind
The cloud wraps around my head,
Settling in my hair,
Like your scent on my sheets
Inhaling on repeat,
The memories burn slowly
Until they eventually fade out
And the smoke cloud can be seen through clearly.

**Until I light my next cigarette and your scent is the smoke and your face is burning at the end, yet I can't quit you or just put you out of your misery, it's too addicting.

adrenaline and alcohol coursing through my veins,
eyes lowered, breathing slowed,
staring at the stage.
fueled by self confidence, or lack thereof,
hands shaking, knees are weak,
tonight I'm in love.
you're here with her but I can't fight it,
lonely girl, attention *****,
habit I can't quit.
kissing her with your hands on me,
bodies sweaty, subtle touching,
risking that she'll see.
