When all of worldly beauty's lost
When form and face have borne the cost
Of life's sojourn upon this earth
A greater glory then springs forth

When vanity is cast aside
With long-dashed dreams and fallen pride
At last a better hope I see
One anchored in eternity

When no one gives a second glance
Or offers promise of romance
I know the One whose love is true
Who looks beyond what most men do

When wit and charm have fled from thought
And company's no longer sought
There's still One friend who longs to hear
My every word, desire and fear

When awkwardness is more the rule
Than competence and being cool
His words I hear so gently spoken,
"Come, poor in spirit and all who are broken."

When those around me criticize
With disapproval in their eyes
He spreads His arms with full embrace
And wears acceptance on His face

When kindred spirit can't be found
And understanding's wayward bound
The One who knows me best will be
Thinking precious thoughts toward me

When foot is slipping, mind astray
From trying to fix things my own way
He rescues me with hourly grace
And sets me in a spacious place

When all my naught attempts at fame
Lie crushed beneath a weight of shame
I seek the fame of Him instead
Who calls my name and lifts my head

When youth and vigor fade away
And triumph seems an ancient day
My strength can rest in One who brings
Fresh power to soar on eagle's wings

When my last breath some day I take
Death's shadowed crossing, hence, to make
Upon Christ's nail-scarred feet I'll fall
To kiss that One who is my ALL
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary,
but what is unseen is eternal."
2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Don't make a promise
You don't intend to keep

Don't put dreams in someone's eyes
You know you cannot fulfill

Don't touch a wound
that you cannot heal

Don't charm someone into falling for you
when you're going to leave

Don't be unkind
always keep in mind
things that go around
always find a way
to come back through
And the ones you leave behind
will one day
rise and shine.....!

With constant arguments they ended the day,
The silence had prevailed the dawn.
Her eyes were wet,
His mouth was shut,
But the silence spoke that night.

Every second they had spent there,
Turns to be witness of their love.
There was a humble piece of joy,
When she looked at him,
And she saw him smiling,
Nothing could stop her from smiling way back to him,
The arguments just now created a deeper love,
Affection which was already all set,
Care which was already there,
Turned in laughter of joy.
She couldn't resist laughing,
With tears in her eyes,
She laughed like she didn't care.

The silence was now filled with the sounds of giggling and laughter,
And them,
They seemed to have been back again,
On the road they have had started the journey,
With much love,
Some arguments,
Little fights,
Some offensive words,
A bit of play around the house,
Chasing each other till one had the side of mum,
Throwing things on each other,
And running all around the house with less of shame.

They had proved,
Nothing could replace their bond with each other,
They might have fought many a times in a day,
Or just once,
But they still cared for each other more than anyone else.
Siblings , they were called,
*Yet they too had a LOVE STORY.
No one can replace these siblings,
They are hard to keep up with,
Yet are important.
You may fight with them all day long,
Yet you would love them at the end of it.

The strings of my heart have snapped, said Job
Have I had sorrow like that?
That return trip I take to anguish
All my energy is sapped

It feels like too much sorrow
No hope of coming up clover
Like the tongue to the sore tooth
Replays it over and over

My broken heart cannot stay away
From what has hurt me the most
It takes up hours of my time
While I’m hosting my own roast

Lamenting, regretting, I'm busy
Ruminate, perseverate, too
I disconnect from reality
Not seeing how I’ll make it through

Composing clever conversations
For a moment I see light
When my heart opens wide to recover
Making all things turn out right

But, no, it’s not meant to end well there
I must suffer for all my crimes
And relive how my heart got broken
Once again till the end of time.
