I loved you in the same way
the water loved the shore,
even when you tried to drown me,
I came swimming back for more

You told me it was just fun and games,
you told me it was cool,
you rolled the dice and bet on our love,
I guess I really was a fool.

It felt like someone had made a dagger out of ice,
dipped it in poison,
then stabbed me thrice.

Now I know to never trust you again,
nobody,
not anyone, has to tell me twice.
You had gambled our love,
now you must pay the price.
The body's still breathing, but I'm not quite alive,
A soul in standby, simply trying to survive.

Heart’s deterioration
Soulful deprivation
Self- alienation
Mindful admiration
Pretending to be patient
Hands busy shaking
Still sorta breaking
To you in which I’m thanking
My gears are busy cranking
But yet I am silent
to be honest, this is just a bunch of my favorite words thrown together..... sorry.

We stopped asking questions
Because we were too afraid to
Know the answers.

if the water is cold enough, we mistake it for heat.
