Your grin is weak and your eyes are dying,
You've painted your face and given up trying,
To find your place in this world so poor,
This is not your time to find what's in store.

Your mother helped you the best she could,
Your father left you like we knew he would,
Your sister said you need to be strong,
But none of them ever knew what was wrong.

Your friends all use you for their own good,
To make them laugh as you're drenched in blood,
Your girlfriend left as you weren't a man,
You're a broken toy without a plan.

You saw your heroes burning in hell,
With ones and zeroes you've nothing to sell,
But all is lost including your mind,
And you follow the moral that life ain't kind.

Your king betrayed you I'm not surprised,
He left you clueless and ill advised,
Life is a party: you're not invited,
So when the sun goes down don't get excited.

This isn't the end, nor the beginning,
You just need a friend to tell you you're winning,
This little game you've made in your room,
Called forget your fate and swallow your doom.

Fresh but bright, I remember the day,
I thought that feeling would never go away,
Looking at my own face with a bold new arrival,
An unforgettable smile confirmed my survival.

A girl, a feeling: the world is healing,
All my ailments make their way to the shadows,
Just live my child you have my permission,
Think not about your unfortunate condition.

I had my chance and it went the same way as every other day,
Only now that it's gone does it seem so appealing,
I must admit in truth I've forgotten the feeling,
Of satisfaction, interaction as I'm made to rue the view from the top of the mountain.

If only you could see how sorry my life is,
If you could see the state that I'm in,
If you could see how close the knife is,
To breaking through my pale white skin.

If you knew from the moment I met you,
How hopeless it seemed to say another word,
If you knew how fast my heart was beating,
At the most astounding wish I've ever heard.

If you could see inside my mind,
If you could see how loathsome I feel,
It worries me that you seem so blind,
To think we live on an even keel.

If you could know I'm not meant for anyone,
If you could know that I live life alone,
If you could see what ride you're getting on,
All your plans to approach would be thoroughly blown.

And as I put my heart back on my sleeve,
And tell you that you're free to leave,
You can put all you said back into your mouth,
Because any notion of love I find hard to believe.

With love in my hands, I fail to be a man,
I begin to sacrifice my well thought plan,
You aren't coming back, that much I know,
I couldn't hold on, you had to go.

I see you in a paradise alone,
I try in vain to make you come home,
Then appears another man In The frame,
Politely asking you to forget my name.

I couldn't help but feel aggrieved,
At the most grotesque idea ever conceived,
You recount our misery into his ear,
Whilst he wipes away a tear.

But mine still remain, I fear you know,
For all my pain, I can't let go,
I'm going insane, I want to die,
Is that what it takes to make you cry?

I'm not that good with words,
Tends to **** my poetry,
I'm not that good with herds,
It always stopped me fitting in,
I'm not that good with birds,
Ruined attempts at ornithology,
I'd find it so absurd,
If anyone was ever impressed by me.

I've grown beyond a joke,
It's just not funny anymore,
I'm no "ordinary bloke"
I'm useless down to the very core,
I'm an egg without the yoke,
That's ended up face down on the floor,
Like I knew before we spoke,
I'm the sort of person you'd wanna ignore.

And I'm not that good with words,
I can only say the same ones over again,
I'm seen but seldom heard,
You might not even know were friends,
And though I wish it never occurred,
I'm glad to see you're on the mend,
I'm not so good with words,
So I'll leave no note on which to end.
