I am but willing prey to the wiles of the full grown moon.
She guards the night sky...
While I patrol these grounds...
Grieving over the seconds that have gone too soon.

I am a vessel... all emptied and barren.
what once was full,
now echoes faint
the glories of yesteryears.
Afloat still, adrift upon the currents... aimless and sullen.

I am a ghost... haunting no one but my own.
Immortalised...
Anchored...
to a body of mist and haze...
Occupying this space where worthy wind had once blown...

I am a beggar offering nothing but my open palms.
Hope etched tight
into my knackered knuckles
and calloused digits.
Please... take them in yours...
soothe them...
grant me your touch, your coveted balm.

My love like a lone penny in the street,
Fell far from your wallet, claiming no trust.
Sitting idle where cement runways meet,
Black copper stained by love's untimely rust.

My love like the paper of yesterday,
Read over and then thrown away quick.
This torture you have given me to weigh,
Could make even the invincible sick.

My love like a needle of addiction,
Clawing at the vein of your youthful grace.
Mind and soul in a bold contradiction.
A hunger that no mere pill can erase.

My love like a burning candle in night.
My love denied by your ignorant sight.
Have to do a sonnet in english class—high school, be the death of me. Thought I would update my HP account while I am at it.

i look in the mirror
i see sunken eyes
parched lips
irritated skin
stained teeth
an embarrassing body
years of fighting myself
faded scars

i see
perfection in my *imperfections
All physical characteristics  described here are mine.
These words too are mine.

I am a player of words.
I will be the the one to grab you by the neck first
but I might show sympathy on you
kick you in the shins and call you a fool.

My pen can do wonders
crush kingdoms, **** children, point out your blunders.
It takes a movement of my hand to change it all
fulfill your dreams, defy science's laws
I can make your lover infertile
make you an illegitimate child
send you to the most brutal fight
or present you with the Nobel prize.
I can make you a part of a dirt poor family
I can make you live your life without a tragedy.
I can make you an old hunchback
who has seen failure
I can make you the knight
in his shiny armour
I can push you off the cliff from which you hanged
or give you a nice pair of fangs.

Oh yes, I am nefarious.
write words which are a mystery or hilarious.
I would rule this place if I had asked for it first,
I am a player of words.

I have painted your world in different colours
cheered for you when you got the medal of valour
I killed your favourite character? Go figure!
I can make you turn into someone else at full moon
I can torture the ones who were your muse
I can build a world of my own
Not taken down by any force
The fire in my veins cannot be extinguished
I will present you with people between whom you cannot distinguish
I can bathe in the tears of my readers
Don't underestimate words
through your spine they can send shivers.

They see me as danger
to trouble, I am no stranger
there is no extent to my freedom
I am half angel, half demon
I have had my mind drift away to places
I have made friends with the one with scarred faces
danced on waves,  sang in deserts
all of this can't be done in reverse
I have killed you using shells
I often write to vent.
I often **** the things which you clenched.
I hold onto your soul and the boredom you munched
isn't all of this fun?
I could be queen if i asked for it first
the world calls me an introvert
and
The player of words
The sand moved slightly as I stepped, welcoming me in its own world of enormity
The wind showed no signs of being meager and kissed me passionately
The sea merrily approached me as if to meet its beloved old friend.

I was experiencing the most beautiful communication of our mother earth.
Sitting alone on the beach and gazing at the boundless waters, I realized the beauty of this perpetual moment.

The cold breeze embraced me like its own child
The sand offered me its tender touch
And the waves whispered and giggled all the time

Time had stopped moving
There was vacuum in the winds,
Silence in the noise
And numbness in the touch

This was an unusual feeling.
A feeling unexpected and un-experienced
I was overwhelmed by the nature of our nature,
Absorbing everything from this vastly moment
Sitting motionless and stunned by the absolute tranquility
made me feel a part of the enormous expanse of this world

Lost in the limbo of space
Lost in the beauty of peace
Lost in the harmony of nature
Lost in the purity of time
Lost was I, in the serenity of life

I could see the inner me,
And hear my unsaid words
I could feel the flow through me
And the divine touch of love
I met a special friend that night
I met myself!

In this sanctum of space,
With the universe embracing me
I closed my eyes to sink in this moment for eternity
Tears welled up in the eyes
Overwhelmed by this feeling of infinity
Deeming that I were better dead,
"How shall I **** myself?" I said.
Thus mooning by the river Seine
I sought extinction without pain,
When on a bridge I saw a flash
Of lingerie and heard a splash . . .
So as I am a swimmer stout
I plunged and pulled the poor wretch out.

The female that I saved? Ah yes,
To yield the Morgue of one corpse the less,
Apart from all heroic action,
Gave me a moral satisfaction.
was she an old and withered hag,
Too tired of life to long to lag?
Ah no, she was so young and fair
I fell in love with her right there.

And when she took me to her attic
Her gratitude was most emphatic.
A sweet and simple girl she proved,
Distraught because the man she loved
In battle his life-blood had shed . . .
So I, too, told her of my dead,
The girl who in a garret grey
Had coughed and coughed her life away.

Thus as we sought our griefs to smother,
With kisses we consoled each other . . .
And there's the ending of my story;
It wasn't grim, it wasn't gory.
For comforted were hearts forlorn,
And from black sorrow joy was born:
So may our dead dears be forgiving,
And bless the rapture of the living.
Sorry
I try to help
I'm a hindrance
It's never right

My tears are nothing
You laugh at me
I want to help
I'm just no good

It all means something
What you say it hurts
Ruins me piece by piece
A fragment of broken glass

When will you see?
What you do
It kills me
It breaks my heart

You're mysterious
An act or gift
You're my conscience
I love you.

reverse

I love you
You're my conscience
An act or a gift
You're mysterious

It breaks my heart
It kills me
What you do
When will you see?

A fragment of broken glass
Ruins me piece by piece
What you say it hurts
It all means something

I'm just no good
I want to help
You laugh at me
My tears are nothing

It's never right
I'm a hindrance
I try to help
Sorry
My first reverse poem, let me know what you think :)
