My life is a series of dashes dreams
Sewing up patches
To have them ripped at the seams

You come in to my life
Then just disappear.
The promises you made
I held on to for dear life.
Every time you comeback around
I want so badly to believe
The words that you say.
I have given you so many chances,
To make it right.
But you always go away.
This time will be no different
You will go away again.
I'll be left alone to pick up my pieces.
And carry on again.
I'm so stupid for letting you in.
This really ******* blows.

How do you tell your heart
that your mind is too foolish
and your voice is too tactful?

Is a ball of clay
That yesterday
Was me, today
Is he, and
Tomorrow, she.

Fingers steady,
Lining the ridges
Of his brow in
One palm and
Warming the toes
In the other,

Widening the nostrils:
Allowing breath,
Punctuating mouth with
Subtle string,

Adding sinew to
His shoulders,
And spright to
His knees,

Tapping lightly
On his heart;
Maroon gearing
Rewound lightly
In reverse—
Heartstrings pull
The mouth into
A sneer;

Allow lidded eyes to
Crease; fully
Soften—open up—
Begin.
Praise Him. Clunky prayers are always a start.

the red lipstick smeared on your lips makes me
want you to leave hues on every inch of me

we're sinning everyday and we'll probably go to
hell, but jesus christ i don't care because i've
already tasted heaven on your ******* hips

and ****, it's not that i love you, it's that you
taste so good you almost make me want to

Those days with you
When you were here
In my arms
To hug and kiss
Were some of
The most beautiful
Days of my life.

Where did the shyness go?
              I remember
hiding under
              women's skirts
red
              faced
counting freckles staring
              as the universe unwound
gazing
              at the birth of stars
and the aura
              left.
now
              I stare down.
