Blackfly blues

When the dark days come
and a man searches
for high ground

like a lost explorer,
a man going nowhere,

a wanderer with no ballad,

a man who dreams
to the beat of the dark
night's drum

playing light
of the moon, yet
out of tune

like the gloom only a poet
feels alone in a cold room.
For a friend who has the blackfly blues. Tomorrow is a new sun.

I wonder, the last time I saw you,
did I tell you I loved you then?
Because I don't think I ever realized
that I'd never see you again.

Blessy Praise
You've got to help me with everything
Because this is never a simple thing
Try to understand darling
Keep it right, never falling
Its what I am always thinking
If this is a song i might be singing
Sing while the pressure is ringing
Once again i'll say one more thing
Before it gets insanely hurting
Dont make it too hard

Standing on a western shore,
Looking on,
He sees the edge of the world,

All angry,
Trapped in the sand,

Light fading slowly,
Sun falling,
Reflections of memories in the ocean's waves,

A foreigner,
Remembers an impossible past,

In whose heart,
Lives his past,
In a distant light and a long ago time,

A home he will,
Never see again.

She is an atlas
her eyes deepest
and darkest Africa

Unfolded I hold her
tracing the source
of her diamonds and gold

In search of the motherload.

Sub Rosa
I wear you like pearls,
Dripping down my neck,
Into the curves of my chest,
Rising. Falling.
Beneath the weight of your breath.
I clench and release the air.
Suffocating.
Your fingers in between my lips,
It was a sweltering summer in the sheets.
And we swam in our own ocean,
Tossing about and-
Rolling.
Tides of arms and balled fists,
Crashing together, a furious,
Lustfull storm.
You wore me like perfume,
The aroma of volcanic ash,
And I erupted in your arms.
And no sunlight remained-
Except in your eyes.
