I wonder if I said I need someone how many will come
I wonder if I said I need to talk how many will listen
I wonder if I said I need to cry how many will care
I wonder if I said I need to die how many will try to stop me

Her echo grows further
I am losing her
Or maybe
She's already gone
Maybe she has never woken up in the morning praying I'd leave her mind
Or maybe she has
Sick of running from pain
Tired of hoping you'd call
Why when I had you I didn't want you
And without you, everything feels numb?

There he was

Glowing in a bundle of stars
Shifted to see his dull reflection
There was no glory in his eyes for they melted a long time ago
Back when the birds flew and the sun smiled

It was all metal now
His world

Tilted into a triangle
Inverted in ink
He had a crumpled paper heart
With permanent creases
He was imperfect

He buried himself in minutes
Swallowing the hollowness from out the air
The shallow room was nothing more
Than a stained glass prison

He disliked the colors
Wishing they would bleed from his sight

They did

But it was only because his prison shattered
For his wings had bloomed

The colors he hated were on his wings

He was free
But he will never forget how his freedom came to be
For those colors were the sorrow he suffered
Now they are the jewels of his rebirth

We will reignite,
Thy love that was lost.
Thy *love
that was unseen.

Behind the battlefield,
We will find each other.
Within the ashes of the war.

Praise thy sun!
Become one with hearts.

We will reignite,
Over the sorrow.
Over the toil.

Thy beauty will commence,
Sending our souls to dance.
Connecting the strings attached.

We will Reignite,
Thy  flame  of love.
Thy sun's fire.

Our hearts will not fail,
*We will live to tell our tale.
The street light that usually blazes outside my window at night has gone cold.
The light was never welcome.
Unless my curtains were fully drawn
It's relentlessness gaze burned
Through my eyelids
Branding itself
On my retinas,
And even when
The curtain was closed
It soaked through it
Like too much blood
Through not enough bandage.

But now the light is gone
Leaving darkness—no.
Leaving emptiness
Where it once proudly stood.
It was like a knife
Buried deep in flesh
But not letting
Too much blood
Escape from my body.
Without warning
Or proper preparation
The knife has been ripped out
And I am left
With a gaping hole
Where the street light once was.
