I be kernel
U be the
Slimy butter
That slides on me
Each time you
Drive me crazy
I'll pop more

~~<♢>~~

i wrote a poem
in a book
and left it in the rain
a masterpiece
to say the least
now nothing but a stain

i crossed the
Himalayas
went to the farthest shore
wrote by hand
upon the sand
it's not there anymore

i found a piece of granite
of Mt Rushmore size
broke 2 hammers
and a chisel
carving only lies
o'r the years i prized it
thought it was just grand
but with the wind
erosion
will turn it into sand

but there is a tablet
that's been there from the start
don't find it odd
i write of God

He's written on my

HEART!

When you write of God you write with indelible ink!

Thanks to Bill Hughes
and his poem "SomeDays"
For the inspiration ♡

~~¤~~
This heart of mine
Is chained forever
We are bound by laws
And special rules of love
I will always keep this
Tangled to yours
No matter what
~~¤~~
Always and forever
Mud on her cheek
she catches crab
by the narrow creek

her frame is sleek
skin saline drab
bone rickety weak.

She makes no show
tides only know
taste of her knee

her hair's knotty lock
makes the wind to talk
feel her slowly.

Why I can't tell
on the mind's sail
she stirs a song

I find her so fair
upon a moment there
then she's gone.
once again at the mangroves
Un
Undesirable
unwanted
unquenchable
undeserved
unsatisfied
Is what i feel like.
But all i wanted to be
Was *inseparable

As so often
I find myself telling the same story
Of a reckless young man
Who skated on thin ice
With every move and decision
A gamble
A spin of the wheel
Risking sanity, soul and life
Spin and spin again
Add passion to the grinding day
Add colour to the morbid grey
Oh, foolish young man
Now that he's old and damaged
Boredom raises it's dull-eyed head
As he practises being dead
Spin and spin again

hot
~

she is hot,
a day too hot,
far and away too hot!
summertime, august hot...
do you know the kind?
the sweet smell of street-asphalt melting,
underneath the simmering waves of heat rising;
the river-eddy, current’s slow dwindling,
tadpole pond, now empty, mud-cracking, hot;
tire swing, rubber-cracking, too hot to touch,
lazy-swaying, gently in the mid-day heat;
sweat, like honey-dripping, slow sliding
sticky-leaving, dribble’s-down-the-back, hot;
the hot, popping sounds of crackling
bonfire's roar on humid, moonlit night, hot;
the distant sound of cricket’s rising chorus
in the creeping darkness,, fading, sultry twilight,
as the tree frogs slowly drown them out;
now alone, in the moonlight, she,
barefoot climbs the still-warm rocks
high above the river bank,
peels off her sweat-drenched clothing,
and plunges to the pool beneath,
to let its cool, soothing water
wash the sweat from sunburned skin,
and ease the blistering heat of day away.
